    Creditors Clerk

    • Full creditors function

    • A leading player in the financial services is seeking a Predictive Modelling Analyst to join their high-impact analytics team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex problems and turning data into strategic insights that drive performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • This firm is seeking a Financial Controller to support the finance team. The role involves overseeing key accounting functions across a number of group entities, including brokerage and investment-focused businesses.
    • They are looking for someone with a strong understanding of monthly accounting cycles in a growing business environment, who can take ownership of tasks such as reconciliations, journal entries, inter-company transactions, and management reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-border setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate data capturing on the accounting system (Pastel)
    • Perform bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations
    • Handle online payments and foreign exchange reconciliations
    • Manage the underwriter payment process, including report approvals and market communications
    • Liaise with brokering and tech teams to ensure systems integrate properly for accurate financial reporting
    • Lead the year-end close process
    • Prepare statutory submissions, including VAT, tax, and other regulatory filings
    • Assist with annual budget preparation, as well as ongoing monitoring and reporting
    • Coordinate the external audit process
    • Monitor and assist with the recovery of significant aged debtors
    • Contribute to compliance initiatives such as transformation reporting and strategy
    • Manage finance-related HR functions, including payslip and IRP5 distribution
    • Train and oversee Graduate Finance Trainees
    • Produce monthly management accounts
    • Present key financial insights, including cash flow forecasts and budget variance analysis, to senior leadership across jurisdictions

    Candidate Profile:

    • A relevant undergraduate Degree in commerce, finance, or accounting
    • Experience with Pastel Partner or similar accounting software, with the ability to adapt to other financial tools
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, ideally within a smaller, high-growth business with international operations
