    Linux System Administrator

    • Join a successful Software Development company as a Linux System Administrator. You will ensure the reliable, efficient, and secure operation of the organisation's computer systems and networks.

    Requirements:

    • RedHat or LPI Qualification
    • 2 years Linux Administration experience
    • Familiarity of Linux, Windows, and macOS systems

    KPA's:

    • Assist with ISO 27001 tasks related to DevOps where required.
    • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software systems, including servers, storage devices, networks, and applications.
    • 3. Monitoring system performance and identifying and resolving issues as they arise, such as network connectivity problems or server crashes.
    • Conduct regular backups and testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure data safety and system reliability.
    • Managing user accounts and permissions, creating and maintaining system documentation, and implementing security policies and procedures.
    • Evaluating new technologies and software products to determine whether they would be useful for the organisation's needs.
    • Providing technical support to users and troubleshooting any problems they may experience with their computer systems or software applications.
    • Maintaining and updating software licenses and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
    • Conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats to the organisation's network and data.
    • Implementing and maintaining network infrastructure such as switches, routers, firewalls and other networking devices.
    • Collaborating with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure that the organisation's technology infrastructure is aligned with its overall business goals and objectives.
    • Monitor internal communication groups for assistance and provide desktop support when needed.
    • Set up of new employee hardware and software required and conduct audits to ensure compliant user behaviour and systems.
    • Follow Company policies, procedures and protocol
    • Ad hoc tasks as requested by management
