    ICS Security Engineer

    Job Description

    • NOV Africa is seeking a self-motivated ICS Security Engineer to join the Rig Technologies team in Gqeberha. The successful candidate will work directly with technical leaders across the digital products group in the selection, deployment, and validation of cybersecurity controls to reduce exposure and ensure security and compliance requirements are maintained.
    • The position also entails analyzing our product groups' network designs and software implementations as specified for our customer’s requirements. This position will ensure that controls are relevant, properly documented, and maintained for associated products and services.

     DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate internally and externally with business organizations to create solutions meeting our customer needs while minimizing Cyber security risks.
    • Guide technical leaders and business functions on OT network architecture, Compliance, and security-related matters.
    • Develop, document, and execute cybersecurity execution plans and schedules.
    • Triage and address security alerts reported by OT security systems
    • Continually develop OT vulnerability and remediation capability to drive faster patching and mitigation cycles
    • Evaluate and make recommendations to continuously improve the cybersecurity posture of digital products.
    • Analyze network designs and software implementation
    • Proactively identify risks and active threats to the OT systems, and applications
    • Perform incident response tasks including evidence preservation, forensics, and malware/exploit analysis
    • Participate in developing and implementing new products to ensure the design and functionality required to support security and compliance.
    • Develop and maintain cyber security technical documentation and guidelines.
    • Conduct OT security workshops and awareness training sessions as required.
    • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
    • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
    • Security or OT-related certifications are strongly desired. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, and/or other information security-related certifications also a plus.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 2+ years of work experience in OT environment and ICS security
    • Experience with industrial network protocols such as Modbus, PROFINET, OPC, EtherCAT. (Essential)
    • Knowledge of design, deployment, and assessment of DCS/SCADA systems. (Desirable)
    • Knowledge of ICS secuirity standard, IEC 62443, Nist framework, etc.(Desirable)
    • Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Wago), Embedded Windows, Embedded Linux, and RTOS control systems.
    • Experience with Windows Servers, Linux/UNIX, enterprise anti-virus, endpoint security, application whitelisting technologies, SIEM, logging configurations, IDS/IPS, authentication methods, TCP/IP, packet capture, and analysis

    Job Description

    • NOV South Africa is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to lead the delivery and setup of simulators for automation packages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC software and networking, with a focus on simulation environments. This position is based in Gqeberha.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Temp Africa AP Accountant

    Job Description

    • NOV Africa is looking for a skilled Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to support our Finance team in Cape Town on a temporary contract.This is a centralized AP role for all JDE ledgers across Africa and in this role you will be responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure compliance with appropriate accounting controls and procedures, in line with NOV and local statutory requirements. 

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Accounts Payable

    • Manage supplier email accounts and clear out invoices daily to JDE. 
    • Obtain coding for all expenses and ensure transactions allocated correctly. 
    • Process all AP invoices and supporting documents accurately and on time through TAP.
    • Ensure that all taxes are accurately calculated, accounted for, and withheld. 
    • Work with suppliers and teams in country to ensure any queries are resolved timeously. 
    • Ensure compliance of expense approvals in line with DOA limits for all transactions.
    • Ensure only authorized suppliers are used.

    Inter-Company and Foreign Payments Process

    • Obtain IC invoices and supporting documents from Controllers/IC partners and process. 
    • Obtain coding for all expenses and ensure transactions allocated correctly. 
    • Ensure compliance of expense approval and authorisation for all IC transactions.

    Payments

    • Prepare 3rd party and intercompany payments for all countries in line with centralized payments process and monthly schedule on a weekly basis.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    QUALIFICATIONS: Tertiary level administration or finance qualification.

    EXPERIENCE: General administration, analyst and accounting experience. 

    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

    • Basic understand of accounting theory
    • Highly detail orientated and organized in work
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    • NOV, a leading global provider of equipment and services for the energy industry, is seeking an experienced Ledger Controller to join our dynamic team in Cape Town, South Africa. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full range of finance functions within one (or several) of our African entities, including accounting, tax, and treasury, working closely with the Country Controller, Accounting Shared Service Center, Operations, and Corporate Managers for Africa. Your expertise will ensure NOV's African entities are properly managed financially and fully compliant with NOV's accounting standards and local requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Optimize and oversee all accounting processes, including AR, AP, cash, costing & inventory, and general accounting, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting that meets NOV's high standards
    • Actively participate in treasury management, identifying financial needs, analyzing FX exposures, and handling daily cash and debt management
    • Collaborate with the Country Controller and Tax Manager to ensure tax processes are optimized and tax reporting is accurate and compliant

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting/finance, or Chartered Accountant qualification (with at least 3 years' articles completed)
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in IFRS accounting and tax returns review, ideally gained through a combination of audit and multinational finance roles

    Application Support Analyst

    Job Description

    • NOV Africa is seeking a self-motivated Data and configuration Analyst to join the Rig Technologies team in Gqeberha.     • Software Development skills/experiences a plus
    • Windows/Linux server experience a plus
