    Business Manager - Asia Pacific - Paarl (55850)

    Purpose:

    • To develop and institute strategies to maximize profit across multiple markets through the relevant routes to market.

    Job Summary:

    • With the International leadership, set the strategic direction for the business areas and implement tactical plans to ensure yearly sales and profit objectives
    • Achieve volume, revenue, and profit targets by excellent implementation of route to market, sales, and marketing plans and tactics
    • Drive innovation and projects to achieve the goals of the division - new business growth, market differentiation and securing share objective
    • Drive operational efficiency of the business, minimizing cost and droving efficiency
    • Optimize business processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
    • Route to market should constantly be assessed and optimized, to broaden coverage and accessibility of brands
    • Constantly improve cross functional relationships across the business.
    • Ensure that there is a monthly supply and demand meeting by market, which is used to drive the KWV manufacturing and shipping (supply) planning
    • Accountable for regional income statement of assigned countries to trading profit level
    • Expert in distributor route to market management, from assessment, selection, and management of execution

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 5 Years' liquor related experience in sales, marketing, and new business development.
    • Degree in Commerce/ Marketing/ Finance or similar business-related qualification
    • A good grounding in key accounts, category management, and trade activity experience
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience in INTERNATIONAL markets

    Skills and knowledge required:

    • Excellent negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, planning & organizing skills
    • Strong commercial and financial acumen
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to communicate with international clients and direct manager

    Job Description

    Market Risk Analyst 

    • Are you a data-driven thinker who thrives at the intersection of markets, analytics, and strategy?
    • My client is looking for a Market Risk Analyst to help protect a global trading business from external market movements - from shifts in oil prices and FX rates to changes in interest rates and volatility.
    • This position requires the individual to monitor the risk embedded into the company portfolio and make sure it stays within the company's risk appetite. 

    What You'll Do

    • Identify, measure, and monitor market risks across global oil trading portfolios.
    • Build and maintain risk exposure reports and dashboards to show real-time sensitivities and potential impacts.
    • Run stress tests and scenario analyses 
    • Use Python for quantitative modelling and Power BI/Tableau to visualise insights.
    • Work closely with traders and senior management to ensure market exposures stay within approved risk limits.
    • Develop predictive models to assess risk, volatility, and Value-at-Risk (VaR).
    • Design risk reports to monitor some key identified risks and adapt the monitoring as the market dynamics change
    • Own the coordination, implementation, evolution and communication of the risk reports
    • Define and monitor predictive scenarios for portfolio risk to give a better intuition to management and desk on the positioning as market conditions evolve

    Required Skills

    • A strong academic foundation in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
    • Advanced analytical and coding skills (Python, SQL, or R).
    • Experience in market or quantitative risk analysis - ideally within energy, commodities, trading, or financial markets.
    • The ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
