Job Description

• Our client is seeking for a highly driven Product Implementation Engineer to lead their technical implementation team. This role is central to solving complex engineering integration challenges, managing documentation and aligning cross functional support for research, development, production and repair teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the product integration and improvement engineering team.
• Solve engineering design and integration issues with a technical and structured approach.
• Oversee the creation and management of specifications, standards, BOMs, NPGs and change management processes.
• Review the performance of Electronic Technicians, Technologists, Software and Drafting Teams.
• Provide monthly and weekly reports, feedback and updates to MANCO.
• Support and coordinate with R&D, product support, production and repair teams.
• Ensure the integrity and maintenance of product “family trees” and technical documentation.
• Maintain the organisation's Standards and up-to-date technical drawings.
• Oversee technical documentation supply for internal departments.
• Manage departmental stock control and tracker systems (NPG, BOM, CM).
• Interpret panel wiring diagrams, engineering draughting standards and drawing updates.

Education, experience and competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or General Engineering (Masters - Advantage).
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role (engineering integration or product implementation).
• Advanced technical knowledge of electronic engineering systems and integration.
• Proficient in reading wiring diagrams and engineering layouts.
• Familiar with engineering drawing practices (including revision tracking).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Prior management experience leading technical teams.
• Experience using Syspro ERP system (advantage).
• Strong understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials), NPG (New Product Generation), and CM (Change
• Management) processes.
• Experience in drafting or reviewing technical reports and specs.

Job Purpose:

• To design, code, test, debug, and maintain programs in development environments.  Apply agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineers result. Work within a strict framework of programming standards under supervision of senior technical resources.

Job Functions:

• Develop code, build, assemble, implement, test and perform data conversion for applications and ensure that processes are accurately documented. Perform system enhancements for the applications as required to ensure the delivery of the engineering function.
• Construct, interpret and execute moderate to complex end to end system and program tests to verify correct operation of completed systems, to ensure that technical requirements are adhered to and test execution activities to ensure seamlessly and effective implementation engineering systems.
• Contribute to programmes and platforms for the processing, analysis and visual display of data, integrating new and existing data sources and ensuring the validity and reliability of data to support data driven decision making as required. Ensuring continuous deployment and operation to deliver the engineering objectives.
• Perform quality assurance on code (through code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards), documents and test plans completed by less experienced developers to ensure these meet the required standards as well as to identify and implement learning opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Degree in IT.
• Certification in AWS /Azure will be an added advantage.

Work Experience:

• 5 - 7 years broad experience in translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications and developing the programming code to create the solutions.
• 8 - 10 years proven experience in modern engineering practices i.e. dev ops, agile etc.
• Proven experience across multiple, broad IT Engineering disciplines, with demonstrated specialisation in at least one.
• Experience within the required scope of expertise.
• Experience in AWS and or Azure.

Job Purpose:

• To lead the quality engineering approach for functional and non-functional requirements for complex solutions, employing scalable and reliable automated test tools and frameworks. To enable test coverage by planning and driving testing activities across all stages and iterations of product, systems and service development collaborating across several delivery teams. To measure and monitor portfolio application of standards for testing, assessing risks, taking preventative action.

Job Functions:

• Analyse and review the iteration metrics and provide an improvement plan, recommending adjusted approaches and risk management actions to the delivery teams.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure that quality engineering entry, exit and suspension criteria are adhered to, to identify risk and drive delivery.
• Construct, interpret and lead execution of end to end system and program tests to verify correct operation of completed systems.
• Deliver the consolidated approach to quality engineering within the portfolio, develop and compile required documentation and equip governance and risk forums with appropriate information.
• Direct all quality engineering related activities across the quality engineering lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring and reporting of acceptance testing to ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality engineering services.
• Direct all reporting requirements, including test status, defect monitoring and resolution, risks, metrics definition etc. across all quality engineering activities to ensure that the state of quality engineering is clearly communicated and documented.
• Direct the alignment of portfolio quality engineering practices with modern engineering approaches (i.e., Agile, CI, TDD etc.) ensuring quality assurance, automation and performance testing.
• Evaluate software testing approaches and tools aligned with Group Standards and assess their relevance and feasibility within the portfolio so that test execution activities can progress seamlessly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Information Studies

Work Experience:

• 8 - 10 years proven working experience in Software Development Life Cycle.
• Track record in the automation of testing approaches, tools and load balancing and performance testing.
• And Other Non- functional testing types/Cloud certification an advantage.
