    Data Capturer - Ehlanzeni

    Description

    To capture, update, clean, and maintain quality of patients’ medical records, relating to the delivery of Right to Care-supported HIV services at the clinic, on the relevant electronic/paper patient register/database used in the clinic

    Requirements

    Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Matric
    • Post-matric certificate in computer literacy including Excel, OR equivalent experience
    • Basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS
    • Proficiency in English
    • 1 year experience in data capturing
    • Experience in working at APACE programme
    • 1 year’experience in data capturing on Tier.Net which is a programme used at the Department of Health
    • 1 year’experience in Capturing on QODE programme.
    • Must have 1 year’ experience in achieving programme outcomes within the Thabo Mofutsanyana region
    • Must have 1-year experience in liaising with TM NDOH and familiar with their SOPs
    • Must be a resident of TM or surrounding areas.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Capture all relevant patient data relating to HIV/TB services from paper files/paper patient register onto the relevant electronic database daily, including data relating to current visits as well as data relating to past visits (historical data)
    • Compile Data Verification Report for own portion of the electronic/paper patient register/ database, at least twice monthly.
    • Take responsibility for own professional growth and development.
    • Taking personal responsibility for own actions and decisions and for standard of work produced.
    • Respect patient confidentiality at all times

    Enrolled Nurse Buffalo City Metro - Eastern Cape

    Description

    • Conduct medical pre-screening of initiates at three months and 4 weeks prior to initiation season. 
    • Conduct Customary Male Initiation bush visits and wound care management.
    • Conduct Pre, and Post-operative care for all clients during initiation.
    • Identify, record and refer all Adverse Event to the line manager.
    • Ensure all source document are available and well utilized by the Roving team.
    • Ensure utilization of PPE materials at CMI site visits.
    • Ensure adherence to Infection Prevention and Control Standards during wound care and follow-up visits.
    • Ensure all follow-up and review of clients are conducted and documented accordingly.
    • Ensure Emergency Management/Referral Protocol are adhered to.
    • Assist in verification of all data before reporting.
    • Assist in compilation of the standardized progress report of the Roving team weekly to line Manager.
    • Review all follow-up source documents for completeness and outcome management.
    • Ensure that all the outcomes of referred clients are correctly documented.
    • Ensure that all Registers are reviewed and prepared for Department of Health quarterly submissions.
    • Assist in identification of training needs of staff and scheduling of appropriate trainings.
    • Assist in junior staff time management.
    • Supervise all counsellors and ensure adherence to VMMC SAG/WHO standards.
    • Assist in mentoring and supervision of locum staff.
    • Participate in continuous staff in-service Training/development.
    • Keep abreast with RTC Care policies.

    Requirements

    • Enrolled Nursing Diploma/Certificate
    • 2-3 Years as an Enrolled Nurse in the NGO/Community or a Hospital Environment 
    • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS
    • Experience in the surgical department, Infection Control, VMMC background.

    Clerk - Chris Hani District

    Description

    Right To Care is looking for a suitable qualified clerk to be part of its operations in Eastern Cape, Chris Hani District.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Capture and scan all consent and follow-up forms from Right to Care-supported VMMC sites onto various systems.  All original documents must be submitted to the District Office within seven days after completion of the circumcision.
    • Record all consent forms onto VMMC registers.
    • Ensure data accuracy by identifying data quality errors and communicate these to the relevant stakeholders.
    • Verify the completeness of the consent-, follow-up forms and patient registers.
    • Verify the completeness and accuracy of information captured against the source document.  This verification must include both Right to Care and Department of Health data systems.
    • Screen all potential clients and ensure that they meet the specified and agreed criteria in order to be circumcised.
    • Report and submit daily, weekly, and monthly statistics from supported VMMC sites as per agreed deadlines, reporting criteria and procedures.
    • In collaboration with the national call centre, ensure that all leads are followed up and scheduled accurately with regular reporting as per national call centre requirements.
    • Ensure that the site visit and mentorship books are updated at all times.
    • Provide assistance to all people as per the Batho Pele and Patients’ Rights Charter principles.

    Ensure proper stock control, and safety and security of assets at fixed sites.  

    Requirements

    • Matric (Senior Certificate)
    • Basic Computer Literacy
    • Valid code 10 driver's licence
    • 1 Year clerical experience
    • Qualification in Office Administration
    • 2-3 years clerical experience and basic VMMC knowledge

    Description

     Strategic Management

    • Coordination with PEPFAR (USAID, CDC) and other partners.
    • Provide guidance in the implementation of the strategic vision, mission and long-term objectives of Right to Care.
    • Provide innovate approaches to implementation of programmes
    • Identification of new business and programme opportunities

     Technical Assistance to Government

    • Provide training and mentoring of government management and staff.
    • Ensure that set programme targets are met within the allocated budget
    • Strengthen existing health services through quality improvement in systems and operational methodologies.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build relationships and collaborate with all stakeholders including  donors, partners, community structures and government departments.
    • Be readily available to address the needs of the various stakeholders.
    • Build and nurture partnerships with relevant government departments and agencies, ensuing alignment with national health strategies.
    • Engage with local communities, understanding their needs and ensuring project activities are culturally sensitive and beneficial.
    • Work effectively with partner organisations, ensuring seamless collaboration and shared goals

    Staff Management

    • Ensure high staff engagement by leading and motivating the programme team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
    • Maintain high productivity.
    • Regularly assess team and individual performance against goals and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
    • Responsible for the development of individuals in the team
    • Maintain and monitor diversity within the team and track progress in line with the organisation’s inclusion and diversity goals.

       Financial Management

    • Develop and manage detailed programme financial budgets in line with donor requirements.
    • Manage operational expenditure and monitor burn rates.
    • Ensure efficient and transparent allocation of funds, adhering to donor guidelines and financial regulations.
    • Identify potential funding opportunities, developing strong proposals and securing funding for future programmes..

     Risk Management

    • Identify and address potential risks.
    • Develop Contingency plans.
    • Maintain programme stability.

     Reporting

    • Prepare accurate and timely reports to donors, adhering to all reporting requirements and contractual obligations
    •  Prepare reports showcasing the programmes’ impact on health outcomes, demonstrating value for donors and  stakeholders.

    Requirements

    Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience

    • MBCHB
    • Exposure in HIV prevention, care and treatment  and related or similar health programmes
    • Thorough understanding of the provincial and national health systems in South Africa.
    • Exposure to Health Systems Strengthening
    •  5 years of clinical experience

     Desirable Required Qualifications and Experience

    • MPH or relevant postgraduate qualification in medicine
    • Diploma in HIV Management
    • Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene
    • Advanced MS Office and computer literacy
    • 7 years management experience in Health programmes
