Role Purpose:

The Financial Accountant will fulfil the duties of managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring financial information accuracy.
The Financial Accountant will also work directly with the Finance and Operations Manager and management team to dynamically run the business locally and internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly closings, financial statement preparation, financial and statutory audit, general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Ensure all the transactions are recorded and coded accurately in all accounting systems
• Compile and process weekly payment runs
• Prepare financial reporting for all regional entities, including Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Senegal, UK, Thailand, Tunisia, and other applicable countries
• Upload bank statements for all regional entities weekly and match invoices to payments
• Prepare monthly financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, etc.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and approve expense reports and expense reimbursements to ensure proper charging
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Prepare monthly cash flow forecast
• Prepare monthly and annual returns, SARS, WCA
• Prepare and process sundry and recurring monthly journals
• Implement standard monthly management reporting packages across all subsidiaries
• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial impact of any variations from actual performance to budget and forecast

Qualifications and experience:

• CA(SA) or CIMA preferred
• Must have 4+ years' experience
• Must have a qualification in line with financial accounting
• Must have experience in Xero, Sage
• A self-starter and able to work independently
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details
• Good technical accounting skills

Overall Purpose of the Role:

• You will need to ensure the business maintain the Cyber road map
• You may also be a requirement for travel outside of South Africa when deemed necessary by the department head
• Your team will be required to work overtime during the week, weekends and perform a stand-by function for after hours and weekend product support

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and implement information security programs
• Help protect against Web threats that facilitate cyber-crime like malware, phishing, viruses, denial-of-service attacks, and hacking
• Perform Problem management analyses and duties, during the week and on weekends
• Prepare project documentation (guides, configuration documents, etc.)
• Tracking of IT software as relating to Cyber and Understanding of AWS security
• Building machine learning models for various use cases across the organization to predict and automate human behaviour
• Use research and insight to drive cultural change within the organisation and ensure stakeholders put consumers at the heart of their planning and strategic thinking
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement in processes and services
• Interpret and analyse data from multiple sources, providing key analytics.

Experience Required:

• Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and security
• Engage in 'ethical hacking', for example, simulating security breaches
• Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods
• Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, and methods
• Ability to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure, AWS security practices (AWS and cloud platform as a service (PaaS) security), Automating security testing tools
