    Professional Quantity Surveyor - Electrical Construction

    Job Description

    • We’re seeking a dynamic, experienced, and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s powerhouse team. This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the most respected names in the commercial and residential electrical industry.
    • Our client is a prominent, long-established Electrical Contractor based in Johannesburg, known for delivering complex electrical solutions across large-scale commercial and high-end residential developments. Their reputation for excellence, safety, and innovation has made them a preferred contractor in the industry.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) registration (SACQSP)
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying within the Electrical Construction industry
    • Proven track record in commercial and residential projects
    • Strong knowledge of electrical contracting processes, SANS standards, and JBCC/NEC contracts
    • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills
    • Proficient in relevant QS software and MS Office Suite
    • Based in or willing to relocate to Johannesburg

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
    • Contract administration and financial reporting
    • Measurement and valuation of works
    • Managing project cash flow and subcontractor accounts
    • Cost control and value engineering throughout project lifecycle
    • Liaising with clients, consultants, and site teams
    • Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations

    Professional Structural Engineer – Consulting Industry

    Requirements

    • Bachelor of Engineering degree (BEng) from an accredited university.
    • Professionally registered (e.g., Pr Eng or equivalent).
    • At least 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
    • Minimum 2–3 years post-registration experience.
    • Strong report writing and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in structural design software and manual calculation methods.
    • Demonstrated project financial knowledge (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing).
    • A collaborative, flexible approach and a strong professional presence.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead conceptual and detailed structural design for complex building and infrastructure projects.
    • Provide efficient and innovative engineering solutions using the latest software and first-principles calculations.
    • Draft and review technical reports and project documentation.
    • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
    • Oversee quality assurance processes across project lifecycles.
    • Support resource planning, budgeting, and invoicing.
    • Represent technical work and service offerings to clients and stakeholders.
    • Contribute to bids, proposals, and business development activities.
    • Maintain and build client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.

    Construction Foreman - Building Construction Industry

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Construction Foreman in residential and/or commercial projects.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and subcontractors.
    • In-depth knowledge of site safety procedures and regulations.
    • Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
    • A relevant trade qualification or certification will be a distinct advantage.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee daily operations on construction sites (residential and/or commercial).
    • Interpret and work from construction drawings and specifications.
    • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, site staff, and deliveries.
