Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and SACPCMP Registered Construction Manager to oversee complex construction projects from an operational perspective. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional with strong technical knowledge, people management skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across projects.
• Manage budgets, cost controls, risk management, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with tender, procurement, and financial processes.
• Foster strong collaboration with project teams, particularly Quantity Surveyors, to ensure operational and financial success.
• Provide effective leadership, guidance, and mentorship to site staff.

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12 (essential).
• National Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or equivalent.
• Formal qualification in Health, Safety & Environment Management.
• SACPCMP Professional Registration as a PrCM Construction Manager (essential).
• 10–15 years’ experience in the built environment, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction site operations, HSE requirements, and project controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/architectural drawings.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Job Description

• RPO Recruitment’s client, leading and well-established civil contractor based in Cape Town is seeking a Junior Site Agent to join their dynamic team in Cape Town.
• The ideal candidate will assist in the management, supervision, and execution of civil construction projects, particularly in roads and infrastructure, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.

Requirements:

• National Diploma or BTech/BEng in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in civil construction, preferably in roads and infrastructure projects
• Experience working on multi-million rand infrastructure projects
• Sound knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and construction methods
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites
• Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
