    Safetycloud Working at Heights Trainer, Durban

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Planning and preparing for training sessions by preparing training material and ensuring that all the equipment is safe and functional.
    • To present training material at the appropriate level in relation to audience's existing skills, knowledge and considering any potential learning barriers presented by language, cultural, socio-economic and other factors by using the most appropriate training methods.
    • To facilitate training in accordance with SAQA/SETA/NOSA requirements and Quality Management Systems.
    • To moderate and assess learners in accordance with the SETA/NOSA code of conduct.
    • To provide confidential assessment feedback to learners in accordance with the SETA/NOSA Quality Management System requirements.
    • To complete all Portfolios of Evidence in accordance with the relevant assessment guides and Quality Management System work instructions, and to ensure the security and confidentiality thereof.
    • To market NOSA by answering client queries, identifying and utilising marketing opportunities during the presentation of training.
    • To engage in continuous self-development activities such as seminars, or other relevant training courses, in order to keep up-to-date with NOSA products, safety, health, environment and ETD best practices.
    • To ensure personal responsibility for assessor/moderator registrations with all relevant SETA’s are current and valid, and ensure Training Manager receives copies of these.
    • Adhere and conform to the NOSA Quality Management System.                               

    Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12).
    • ETDP-registered Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience in fall protection and working at heights.

    Registered with the Services SETA as an assessor and moderator for the following unit standards:

    • Explain and perform fall arrest techniques when working at height.
    • Assess a worksite for work at height and prepare a fall protection plan.
    • Install, use and perform basic rescues from fall arrest systems and implement the fall protection plan.
    • US229999: Perform a range of advanced fall arrest rescues.
    • Registration and designations with the Institute for Working at Height will be an added advantage.
    • Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, applicable regulations, and quality management systems (QMS).
    • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
    • Fluent in English and at least one other official South African language.

    Assurecloud Microbiology Analyst, Midrand

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct both simple and complex microbiological tests independently.
    • Verify and interpret test results against known standards and reference data.
    • Ensure laboratory efficiency through proactive task management and process improvement.
    • Adhere to departmental turnaround times (TATs) and escalate delays to the supervisor.
    • Clean and disinfect laboratory equipment according to hygiene protocols.
    • Maintain laboratory instruments and notify management of calibration or servicing needs.
    • Perform all analyses in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Quality Assurance policies.
    • Implement corrective actions for quality and TAT deviations within area of responsibility.
    • Maintain acceptable proficiency scores for all assigned testing procedures.
    • Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels for testing materials and consumables.
    • Manage consumable costs effectively to support budget adherence.
    • Complete all reporting requirements accurately and on time.
    • Receive, review, and register incoming samples and inspection documentation on the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
    • Perform basic administrative duties and support testing processes as required.
    • Carry out additional duties as assigned within the scope of work.

    Qualifications

    • National Diploma or Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Food Technology. 
    • Additional certifications in ISO 17025, GLP, or SANAS-accredited microbiology courses (advantageous). 

    Experience 

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in food safety testing. 
    • Experience with LIMS and sample registration processes (advantageous). 
    • Proven track record of working within ISO 17025 accredited environments.

    Assurecloud Temporary Nightshift Lab Assistant, Oudtshoorn

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive and inspect incoming samples, verifying documentation (e.g., chain of custody, submission forms).
    • Log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) accurately and promptly.
    • Label samples with unique identification numbers for traceability.
    • Store samples correctly according to temperature and handling requirements (chilled, frozen, ambient).
    • Communicate with clients/couriers regarding discrepancies or missing information.
    • Prepare samples for transfer to analytical departments within required turnaround times.
    • Maintain a clean and organised reception area.
    • Assist with archiving or disposal of samples per retention policies.
    • Monitor laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and operational integrity.
    • Follow SOPs and adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Matric (Grade 12).
    • BSc Degree or Biotechnology Diploma or Microbiology Degree (Advantageous).

    Experience

    • Previous exposure to laboratory environment (Advantageous).
