    Storeman - W1 (Welkom)

    The Role

    • Administers and operates the organization's warehouse, including processing, packaging, storage of supplies, materials and equipment and delivery of materials and equipment underground to the mine operators.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Account for all materials and supplies in the store facilities.
    • Audit goods received into warehouse.
    • Receive, store and issue materials, and perform related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
    • Conduct cycle counts and full stock takes
    • Conduct stock control, issuing and analysis of rock tool material and equipment as per established standards
    • Ensure the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.

    Profile Required

    Sales Manager - M3

    The Role

    • The Sales Manager, is responsible to develop, implement and deliver strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, increase market share, forge strategic relationships, promote Sandvik brand awareness and responsible for a positive customer experience. By identifying new business opportunities and customer relationships, the Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving sales growth for capital equipment.
    • Duties will include but are not limited to, responding to queries from clients and resolving problems to ensure the customer can focus on their core activities. Additional focus points will be the setting of area-specific goals for each strategic customer to promote a personalized service and proactive selling by tracking clients individually.

    Key Performance Areas

    Junior Design Engineer

    Purpose of the role:

    • Develop and design products, equipment and tools to be able to produce product that meets high quality requirements and performance standards. Analyses equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design.

    The job responsibilities:

    • Reviews product development requirements for compatibility with methods to determine cost and schedules.
    • Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet module target specifications and technology target specifications.
    • Responsible for handing over method/process and equipment to production.
    • Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.
    • Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety.
    • Designs, develops, executes and evaluates fitness-for-use testing, product specifications and process validation plans; creates and reviews material part specifications and bills of materials.
    • Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product.
    • Ensures compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines.
    • Generating of mass estimates of products for tender proposals.
    • Responsible to generate technical data packs for jobs, on time, containing detail drawings and engineering bill of materials (EBOM). Ensure all tolerances, machining, welding, material treatment etc. specifications are specified.
    • Required to travel and meet with customers when needed. This includes taking measurements on-site.
    • Ensure that all work conform to the required in-house modelling and detailing standards.
    • Ensure sufficient checking of drawings and BOM’s to eliminate NCR’s.
    • Participate in generating new in-house technical standards and training material.
    • Develop and maintain engineering calculations to assist in product design where needed.
    • Responsible to make suggestions on how products can be improved in terms of quality, pricing, and performance.
    • Assist other departments when needed. For instance, accompany site visits or support the engineering group with CAD models for FEA etc.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining engineering first principle calculations when needed.
    • Consult with Lead Designer and Design Office Manager on new or changed designs before processing as jobs.
    • Responsible to maintain an accurate electronic drawing office file structure of jobs to assist in as-built management and full traceability.
    • ETO and R&D resources can be shared across teams on a case-by-case basis to support both regional and global functions based on workload and agreement between departmental managers.

    Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • BTech. or BEng. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • 0 to 2 years 3D CAD modelling and drafting experience in sheet metal fabrication industries including welding specifications. Preferably in Siemens NX or SolidEdge.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    The Role 

    • The purpose of this role is to actively promote or sell parts, tools and services to support customers in alignment with their needs as well as provide support to ensure minimal machine downtime by resolving machine emergency issues quickly and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support customers with product information and resolve their queries in alignment with Sandvik processes and procedures.
    • Actively promote or sell parts and services to support customers with their needs including cold calling activity for customer retention and market share growth.
    • Identify and follow up on sales opportunities or leads to convert quotations into sales and liaise with stakeholders to support customers with their needs.
