    District Sales Manager

    • Achieve sales targets for the assigned regions
    • Achieve market-share targets for the assigned region/terrotories
    • Effectively manage the territorie by means of planning, territory analysis, and directing the team in terms of targeting and call coverage of customers
    • Effective field supervision and coaching of representatives to ensure that key selling messages are adhered to and product strategy is executed
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales team and individual team members versus plan and other performance objectives agreed
    • Develop corrective actions to address gaps in sales execution plans
    • Maintain relationships with key customers, key external experts, suppliers and other industry contacts relevant to the division
    • Recruitment, selection, training and development of direct reports
    • Reporting on market intelligence and conditions to marketing
    • Management of micro marketing and promotional budget for the assigned region

    Education:

    • Matric and Relevant Tertiary degree or diploma

    Experience & Knowledge:

    • Successful track-record in sales/selling role
    • Minimum of 3 years experience with good knowledge and understanding of regulatory, compliance and marketing codes

    Product Manager

    • Min 3 years marketing and/or sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry essential
    • Previous Product Management experience desirable
    • Experience in the marketing and promotion of Diabetes products in the pharmaceutical industry advantageous

    Brief Description Of Key Performance Areas

    To successfully grow the DCV portfolio through strategic marketing and achieve sales and profit targets by:

    • To develop and present marketing business plan (strategy) per product and portfolio on an annual basis
    • To create and execute product tactical plans within specified time frames via the sales force and to measure quantitatively and qualitatively thereafter
    • To effectively communicate product benefits to all the relevant customers: 1. the provider 2. the payor 3. the pharmacist 4. the patient and 5. the salesforce with the aim to achieve predetermined sales and profit margins
    • Growing Sanofi market share in the DCV therapeutic area
    • Appropriate targeting and segmentation
    • Ensure a sustained and profitable DCV portfolio
    • Develop and implement innovative brand and market strategies
    • Maintaining customer loyalty, whilst finding new areas for growth
    • Participating in the NPLP (new product launch procedure) and execute on new product launches
    • To prepare briefs to advertising agencies as and when required; to select the most effective campaign via market testing of concept and message
    • Maintain key customer and opinion leader contact to maximize Sanofi’s product performance in the respective therapeutic field
    • To ensure formulary inclusion, in conjunction with market access, for product portfolio with all key players
    • Ensure respect of local and corporate policies and procedures as to ensure that activities are conducted within the Code of Ethics and in an efficient and compliant mode with country laws.
    • Liaise with relevant staff in medical, regulatory affairs , external affairs, sales and other functions to ensure that cross functional communication is of a high quality and that company goals are met
    • To maintain and improve product knowledge of the salesforce and communications, sales managers and to continually update knowledge on the product, competitors and therapeutic area
    • To measure and monitor new campaigns for their effectiveness by individual customer or group via the integrated market information system
    • To allocate optimal resource to the specified brand and to ensure that resource allocation is in harmony with identified key success factors
    • Setting budgets for and control allocated promotional expenditure for the product(s)
