Job Advert Summary An opportunity has become available for an qualified Artisan (Diesel Mechanic) within our contract, to inspect, maintain, and service a fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts and related auxiliary equipment. Minimum Requirements

• Matric - Grade 12
• Qualified Artisan (Trade Test)
• Experience in transport and logistic environment
• 5 years’ experience on Mercedes Benz, MAN and Nissan truck tractors
• Sound Knowledge of Hydraulic systems
• Knowledge in servicing and maintenance of trucks, trailers, forklift, hydraulic equipment, tail lifts and auto electrical components
• General administrative duties
• Willing to work shifts,weekends and public holidays
• Absolutely NO previous criminal record
• Successfully complete medical evaluation
• Valid driver's license (Minimum EC 1)
• Own transport is essential

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct services on trucks and trailers.
• Attend to breakdowns and carry out the necessary repairs on trucks, trailers, forklifts, hydraulic equipment, tail lifts and auto electrical component
• Ensure that services are done according to checklists.
• Repairs at breakdowns are diagnosed and the manager is informed.
• Ensure that vehicles are kept in line with the legal requirements according to the company policies and procedures.
• Apply Health and Safety rules and regulations when conducting a service/repair or when attending a breakdown/accident.
• Ensure that appropriate safety measures are taken at all times.

Job Advert Summary An opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Artisan to attend to breakdowns and conduct services on diesel/electric refrigeration units. Formal training or experience in the refrigeration field will be advantageous. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further details.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Code 08 Drivers License
• Formal training in refrigeration field will be advantageous
• Self motivated and assertive
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience
• Willing to work 12 hr shifts, nightshifts, weekends and public holidays
• Successfully complete medical evaluation
• Sound knowledge and experience of technical aspects of heavy commercial vehicles, including trailers and transport refrigeration units
• Maintain good relationships with customers
• Valid driver’s license and own transport

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct services on diesel/electric refrigeration units
• Conduct fault finding and repairs on diesel/electric refrigeration units
• Daily routine checks on refrigeration diesel/electric units
• Attend to breakdowns
• Ensure the completion of work as to minimize disruption in operations
• Able to work independently without supervision

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Code EC driver's license with valid PrDP
• 3 years experience driving a Ultra Heavy Vehicle
• Must be prepared to work weekends and public holidays
• Defensive driving techniques
• Function and location of vehicle components
• Reporting procedure of emergencies and defects
• Vehicle inspections and operating a fire extinguisher
• Maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
• Vehicle loading techniques

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle for trip and operate Ultra heavy duty vehicles.
• Load, Transport and offloading of vehicles.
• Handle required documentation and perform ancillary duties
• All other reasonable instructions from Supervisor
• Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Safe driving record and clean criminal record
• Housekeeping of vehicles, uniform and PPE
• Adhere to promote SOP’s and Safety Procedures Successfully undergo / complete the following:
• Medical evaluation
• USCS training modules
• Induction processes
• Practical driving evaluation
• Verification of clean criminal record
