We are seeking for a Warehouse Manager to join our branch in George!

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the Warehouse along with various duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Management of maintenance team.
• Manage HR related staff queries.
• Motivating maintenance staff & security.
• Manage staff as per rotational roster to minimize overtime expense.
• Review maintenance staff performance annually.
• Ensure discipline is kept in the workplace.
• Ensure staff and warehouse complies with OH&S and SHEQ standards.
• Head of maintenance pertaining to the whole building and property and new projects.
• Ensure gardens, grass, housekeeping and appearance of building and property is kept in presentable order.
• Ensure that warehouse generator is in working order at all times.
• Manage warehouse alarm, cameras, and security, internal and external.
• Manage photobooth.
• Manage washbay
• Manage key office.
• Manage keys for the whole warehouse and premise and ensure safe keeping of keys.
• Ensure all new arrival vehicles is received as per company procedures.
• Manage and update on all vehicle’s inspections done (Dekra Checks).

Requirements:

Job Description

Position Overview:

• As a Regional Facilities Manager, you will oversee the facilities management and operational efficiency of five warehouses and 25 pods across the KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape. Another location could be added.
• Your role will involve ensuring compliance with Health and safety regulations, managing support staff, building supplier relationships, and improving resource efficiency.
• You also need to be self-managed and disciplined, and able to work alone.
• Additionally, you will assist with logistics and special projects at branches, ensuring that all maintenance works run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

• Oversee Facilities management for five warehouses in Richards Bay, Pietermaritzburg, Springfield, Riverhorse, East London, and possibly more as the company expands.
• Conduct daily visits to branches and pods to ensure smooth and operational facilities

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all branches comply with health and safety regulations, security protocols, and insurance requirements.
• Conduct regular audits of warehouse inspection files and registers, and report daily on any positive or negative findings.

Team Coordination:

• Conduct regular catch-up meetings with warehouse managers to review performance and address issues.
• Assist with special projects at coastal branches.

Support Staff Management:

• Engage with support staff, ensuring they are well-managed and provided with the correct and presentable uniforms.

Supplier Relations:

• Source and build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency, and cost-saving methods.

Resource Efficiency:

• Monitor and improve the efficiency of building electricity and water usage, providing recommendations for enhancements.

Pod Management:

• Oversee operations for 25 pods across the KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape. Another location could be added.

Logistics Support:

• Assist with logistics as needed to ensure effective operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12.
• A minimum of 2 - 4 years' facilities management experience.
• A relevant management qualification will be beneficial.
• Computer literate
• Valid Driver's License
