    Product Specialist

    About The Role

    • As a Marketer – Product Specialist II, you’ll be part of a team of self-motivated, high achieving sales professionals and you’ll drive WesBank Asset Based Finance full product offering to new customers in the KZN region.

    Are you someone who can: 

    • Manage costs / expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
    • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
    • Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members
    • Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders
    • Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects / initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress
    • Implement and maintain sound business processes that minimise FNB risk and deliver quality requirements specifications. Findings that area as a result of internal or external audit and client management and risk.
    • Initiate and manage product research, data mining and quantitative analysis to ensure sustainability and future competitive growth
    • Explore local and international markets for new products and trademarks in order to expand and strengthen the business' market position
    • Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes, and services
    • Manage own development to increase own competencies

    You will be an ideal candidate if you: 

    • 5+ years in a commercial/client facing roles
    • Asset Based Finance will be an advantage
    • Services/Banking industry experience
    • Knowledge and understanding of asset base finance
    • Strong track record as highly performing sales individual
    • Generally motivated for Sales (Hunting and New Business development) and highly energetic with a good sense of time management

    • Good understanding of asset based finance (ABF)
    • General knowledge of financial and leasing including systems, applications, and banking practices

    • Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure.

    • The main purpose of the role is to ensure there is implementation of the Group’s compliance frameworks and programmes in consultation with business ensure conformance and adherence with regulations and delivers through a team of Compliance resources/specialists.

    Minimum Qualification - 3 year Bachelors Legal or Commercial Degree or a Compliance Higher Diploma qualification, PG Diploma in Compliance Management would be advantageous
    Preferred Qualification - Relevant Degree in Risk Management, registered as a Compliance Officer with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority
    Experience - 5 years' experience in a similar environment
