• We are seeking an experienced and versatile Graphic Designer to join our creative team to produce visually impactful designs for our social and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles, branding, and visual storytelling, with expertise across various design disciplines, including visual design, branding, typography, print, digital, and UI/UX. The Graphic Designer will create engaging designs that effectively communicate our brand’s message and values.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design

• Develop high-quality graphics, layouts, and templates for marketing campaigns, social media, websites, and print materials.
• Ensure all designs adhere to the company's brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across platforms.
• Work closely with the marketing team to conceptualise designs that align with campaign objectives and storytelling strategies.
• Create designs for packaging, promotional merchandise, and digital products where required.
• Ensure appropriate use of typography and layouts for diverse formats, including brochures, presentations, and reports.
• Develop simple animations or motion graphics to enhance social media and online campaigns.

Social Media and Online Marketing

• Design optimised content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), ensuring it aligns with platform specifications and audience preferences.
• Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visuals that support campaign narratives.
• Design digital ads and banners for online campaigns, ensuring they meet performance metrics and aesthetic requirements.
• Collaborate with the content and strategy teams to ensure designs support the overall marketing and business objectives.

Creative Direction

• Translate creative briefs into innovative design concepts.
• Contribute to the evolution of the brand’s visual identity by proposing modern, fresh ideas that resonate with target audiences.
• Stay updated with design and digital marketing trends to bring innovative ideas to campaigns.

Collaboration and Feedback

• Work closely with videographers, photographers, copywriters, and digital marketers to produce cohesive multimedia content.
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and finalise designs efficiently.
• Organise and maintain a digital library of design assets, templates, and completed projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, etc.).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems.
• Certification in graphic design and digital media

Minimum experience and skills required

• 3+ years of experience in graphic design, with a strong focus on digital and online content creation.
• Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Experience with motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is advantageous.
• Portfolio showcasing design expertise, particularly in social media, online marketing, and branding.
• Experience with UI/UX design principles.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS for basic web design projects.
• Understanding of performance metrics and analytics for design optimisation.

Summary:

Key responsibilities

• Will include ensuring the accuracy, validity and completeness of management and financial accounting, analysis, budgeting, reporting and ensuring that all corporate, accounting, fiscal and regulatory requirements and deadlines are met and all records are maintained. Preparing and maintaining financial and regulatory reports for allocated companies. Ensure continuous Implementation and strict application of a set of operational and accounting standards and controls throughout the company.

Qualification and Experience:

• Registered CA (SA) having passed the Board Exams on 1st attempt.
• Good working knowledge on Accounting Package (Pastel, Oracle, Caseware, MDA etc)
• A Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Taxation or Masters in Accounting would be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years post articles experience.
• Tax, and financial regulatory and reporting requirements (IFRS).

Job description:

Accounting

• Ensure that all financial reports including but not limited to the monthly accounts and the preparation of audit files are prepared accurately and submitted on time on due dates, procedure manuals are adequately prepared and maintained regularly and are at the required standard;
• Applying principles of accounting to prepare and analyse financial information, prepare financial reports including financial statements, strategic plans, budgets and financial forecasts, and variances from forecasts and the interpretations thereof;
• Implementing infrastructure systems and administration systems compile and analyse financial information. Audit contracts, orders and vouchers and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement. Install, modify documents and coordinates implementation of accounting systems, sound control procedures; Ensure regular processes are reviewed, documented and implemented.
• Managing specific projects within the department, designing and implementing business strategy and plans, implementation of infrastructure systems and administration systems and financial controls;
• Ensure that audit files are prepared on time and accurately;
• Ensuring that both internal and external audits are planned and executed properly;
• Ensure that all related tax and statutory affairs of the different companies are in order including but not limited to ensuring that VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, Income Tax, Dividend Tax, FSB levies are duly submitted and paid for in time and proper cash planning is maintained to meet all our tax commitments;
• Ensure transactional recording on Sage X3, process journal entries and compile general ledger, draw up financial statements to consolidated level. Allocate and process Bank statement transactions, and perform reconciliations of bank accounts, inflows, and scrip holdings;
• Training of all junior staff on policies and procedures.
• System static data is kept up to date.
• Ensures compliance with applicable accounting and corporate policies and ensure that entries are recorded in compliance with the policies and accounting standards.
• Implement and ensure adherence to internal control processes.
• Prepare month-end management accounts within the internal deadlines. Ensure that all tax submissions are done on time and accurately.
• Keep up to date With IFRS standards and all accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, time lines, accessibility and consistency objectives are met when closing the books and to comply with accounting policies and procedures. Ensure records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• To regulate, supervise, review, and implement a full and accurate set of accounting records for the relevant companies in full compliance with the relevant legislation and accounting policies
• To implement continuous review and control systems to monitor the performance of the company, its flows of funds, and adherence to budgets
• To identify and alert the Senior Accountant of any irregularity, lack of compliance, lack of adherence to process and procedures, weakness in internal controls, and any actual or potential concerns arising out of the financial and operational matters of the business
• To ensure that all relevant security measures, and authorization levels are in place to ensure effective functioning of banking and cash management processes;
• Assist in managing all junior staff within the hub.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare management reporting daily/weekly/monthly;
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, monthly preparation of accounts for the companies and that regulatory changes are incorporated in such accounts;
• Ensure that financial statements are generated for the companies allocated to you.
• Ensure that reporting and effective communication is done accurately and on time both internally and externally; create, implement and maintain reports and documentation according to the legislation;
• Prepare monthly management accounts, quarterly & annual financial statements for funds, operating companies or group of companies allocated to you.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, compilation of statistics including internal and market analysis, preparation of regular management reports, workflow design and implementation;

About the job

• The key function of the position of Investment Analyst is to conduct investment research and analysis, to make long term investment decisions and identify and take investment opportunities that will protect and grow the portfolios managed by Oasis. The candidate must conduct detailed due diligences and be able to perform detailed fundamental equity analysis and valuation, including ratio analysis. The analyst must be able to produce accurate long term forward looking forecasts using all available information. The candidate will be expected to work in an environment of strict accountability and within the mandates, rules and parameters of the investment process.

Job Description

Fundamental Analysis:

• Take complete ownership and responsibility for the companies and sector that you are responsible for.
• Ensure that investment decisions recommended by you that are approved, you follow through completely and ensure execution across our model and clients’ portfolios.
• Ensure that the companies you are responsible for that their analysis are regularly updated and maintained.
• Generate new ideas and make recommendations.
• Undertake detailed analysis and accounting and business valuations of listed and unlisted securities with a view to making a long term investment decision which is ratified by the Investment Committee.
• Interact with Senior Business Leaders and Company Management in conjunction with the Senior Equity Analyst.
• Conduct investment research and analysis.
• Identify investment opportunities to protect and grow portfolios.
• Perform detailed fundamental equity analysis, valuation and ratio analysis using stochastic and financial modelling.
• Research and analyze companies and the industries in which they operate in.
• Prepare investment reports on companies which address all the pertinent issues relating to the company in order to arrive at an appropriate decision.
• Undertake comprehensive evaluation and analysis under the mentorship and guidance of your seniors to ensure that a thorough due diligence is conducted before the firm undertakes an investment into a security on behalf of its client.
• Involves the primary use of fundamental valuation skills such as:
• Prepared and evaluation of Long Term history.
• Detailed financial analysis of financial performance and financial position of the company through evaluation of annual report which include but not limited to the Balance Sheets, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and Statement of Changes in Equity of the company.
• Use good communication skills; be sufficiently and adequately prepared and confident to handle interactions with Management at the highest level.
• Quantify risks relative to the expected return of an investment.
• Evaluate the impact of changes in macro and micro economic variable and its implications on the risk and return profile of a security.
• Evaluate regional and global developments and trends within the specific industry and quantify its implications with regard to future risk and returns of a security.
• Prepare long term sheets and analyze history of a company over a long term period, this will include the analysis of Financial Stats, financial Profitability, valuation, operating and Efficiency measures of a company in relation to the market, its peers and its history.
• Evaluate long term history and numerical data issued by companies.
• Ensure that procedure manuals are regularly maintained and kept up to date.
• Ensure that meeting notes and action points well documented and filed accordingly.
• Ensure that you use resources available (such us Bloomberg and Inet) to assist your decisions making process.

Daily Morning Meeting

• Ensure you attend the Daily Morning Meeting, chaired by the CIO or a senior member of the investment team and provided a report back on any events from the previous day including but not limited to Management Meetings with companies, Results Presentations of companies, Information obtained from the media (newspapers/Bloomberg etc), Economic data released, Market update.
• Ensure that you are adequately prepared to report and provide substantive feedback in the meeting.
• Ensure that you follow up and successfully execute the action points agreed in the meetings.
• Strategic and model portfolio meetings
• Provide input into the strategic investment committee meetings which take place on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure that you have done proper due diligence and applied detailed reviews of the reports in preparation to the strategic and model portfolio meeting and that the quality of the analysis and the recommendations are of an exceptional quality.

Corporate actions

• Ensure that you make detailed recommendations on each resolution and/or corporate action proposed.
• Prepare a formalized report and ensure that the proposed proxy votes are implemented in accordance with the Proxy Voting and Corporate Actions policy.
• Evaluated the necessary documents in order to make a considered decision (eg. Read the Memorandum of Incorporation where the matter relates to a change in governance structures. etc.)
• Ensure that environment, social and governance considerations have been incorporated into the decision making process in accordance with the CRISA and UNPRI policies.

Systems

• Ensure that all systems remain up to date, and models are updated on the system and it is the analysts responsibility to report to the CIO after conducting periodic reviews that all information is up to date.
• Ensure that investment decisions recommended by the analyst which are approved are followed through completely and ensure execution across our model and clients portfolios.
• Ensure that you use the systems available optimally and enhance the usage of the system such us Decalog, Xamin, Inet Bloomberg Thompson Reuters to assist in your decision making process
• Ensure that procedure manuals are followed at all times, and regularly maintained when applicable.

Planning and scheduling

• Ensure that the investment calendar for the year ahead for all companies covered within the applicable sector is comprehensively maintained, including but not limited to Quarterly, Bi-Annual, Annual global & local company reporting dates, AGM dates, Management Meeting dates, Global Economic Data releases, Local Economic Data releases, Investment and Quarterly Strategic Committee Meetings.

Idea Generation

• Generate your own investment ideas, make recommendation based on analysis and adequate due diligence done by you and motive why further research should be conducted if necessary.
• You must ensure that meeting notes and action points are well documented and filed accordingly.

Reporting

• Management reporting and/or reporting to the CIO must include an executive summary with an analysis supporting the executive summary based on the company internal requirements. Where an issue is highlighted then the report must contain suggestions for resolution of the issue.
• Ensure that you timeously prepare and submit your investment reports to the Investment Committee with your recommendations. The report must include the investment report and presentation, quantitative report, technical reports.
• Ensure that your presentation is well prepared and delivered to the Investment Committee.
• Ensure detail working is prepared to support your investment report and covers analysis on peer group companies, industry factors, macro and micro economics variable and impacts, geopolitical factors are considered, analysis and quantify the risks.

Reporting Structure

• Reports to Manager Investment Operation & CIO.

Qualification

• CA(SA) or Masters in Investment Finance or an Engineering degree with a CFA/ MBA qualification
• A CFA qualification will be advantageous.
