    Cleaner

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Emptying and cleaning bins
    • Cleaning classroom desks, seats, skirting boards and walls
    • Vacuuming carpeted areas and washing floors
    • Sweeping and mopping uncarpeted areas
    • Store cleaning equipment and products neatly in designated cupboards
    • Monitor the usage and stock levels of consumables and supplies
    • Wash crockery and cutlery and pack it away neatly
    • Disinfect and wash floors
    • Setup crockery and refreshments for booked venues at scheduled times
    • Tidy and clean areas after meetings and/or events
    • Report anything in need of ordering, repair or replacement to management
    • Available for weekend and after hours’ work

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

    Requirements of the role:

    • Some knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations as they relate to the operation of cleaning equipment and the dilution of cleaning materials.
    • Knowledge of cleaning best practices.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing and promotes deep learning.
    • To serve the community.
    • Behave in a professional manner with regard to punctuality, behaviour, and standards of work.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serve on committee structures as delegated and required by the school, such as Employment Equity and Health & Safety.

    • Manage safeguarding roles, responsibilities, and procedures diligently within the campus, specifically for Preparatory School students.
    • Ensure that student progress within the Preparatory School is effectively and regularly communicated to parents.
    • Contribute to creating and maintaining an attractive, effective, and engaging environment conducive to learning within the Preparatory School.
    • Actively promote the positive image of the school within the community.
    • Ensure the establishment and maintenance of a culture of respect throughout the entire Preparatory School.

    • Maintain an approachable and caring demeanour towards students, parents, and colleagues within the Preparatory School community.
