    T3 Assistant Technician - Bathopele, Rustenburg x2

    JOB PURPOSE

    • Providing comprehensive technical services for the efficient and safe operation of electronic technology for health, safety and productivity in the mining sector.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Matric/N3
    • 0 – 2 years-experience.
    • Basic understanding of electronics.
    • Operates hand tools and small power tools and understands their use and function.
    • Good computer skills (Microsoft package).
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Own Vehicle.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Technical
    • Support with the installation, repairs and technical support of the system and products to the highest technical and safety standards on the specified mine/s.
    • Test units to meet OEM specified requirements.
    • Quality checks all work as per company quality policy
    • Support in the maintenance of the electronic equipment and software, to ensure it is according to company standards and client scope of work.
    • Recording of all spare parts replaced via field service book
    • Assist with new Projects.

    • Support
    • Liaise with other technical employees, and customers on the site to support in ensuring quality and safety of work and that contractual obligations are met.
    • Keep supervisor updated of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect the customer or our company.
    • Feedback on a regular basis to Technical coordinator and Supervisor
    • Completion of required documentation, reports and paperwork for the mine, customers and Technical coordinator / Supervisor.

    Lampsman

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric or equivalent with mathematics and physical science on higher grade (Grade E) or standard grade (D symbol).
    • National Lamps man certificate.
    • At least 2 years’ experience as a Lamproom of which at least 1 year in a supervisory role
    • Basic understanding of Lamproom equipment and tools
    • Computer literate (Microsoft package).
    • Medically fit

    Job Purpose

    • To assist in providing quality services and safe operation of lamproom equipment and tools for health, safety, and productivity in the mining sector.

    Responsibilities

    • Technical:
    • Performs day to day activities in accordance with the prescribed DMR guidelines and as stipulated but not limited to the mine code of practice.
    • Provides legal and competent services.
    • Provide trusted communication between the lamp room and all relevant stake holders.
    • All legal documentation should be completed revised and scrutinized before filing and or distribution occurs.
    • Oversee and comply with daily administrative tasks.
    • Resolves all customer complaints and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
    • Controls and coordinates lamp room operators in their daily tasks.
    • Maintain and monitor lamp room equipment.
    • Monitors failures and repairs of lamp room equipment and reports deviations to the relevant technician for repairs.
    • Ensure effective key control during shift.
    • Maintains through and up-to-date knowledge of internal and external procedures, schedules and directives pertinent to the Control Room, and attends in-service, mandatory, basic, advance and/or specialized training to maintain current and proficiency or learn new job-related information and skills.
    • Maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility.
    • Liaise with supervisor and customers on the site to assist in ensuring quality and safety of work and that contractual obligations are met.
    • Liaise with visitors, clients, staff and others to assist with general enquiries.

    Stores Controller - Rustenburg

    Job Purpose

    • Provide Administrative and Support Functions to the Warehouse Manager

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a stores and dispatch environment
    • Storekeeping and stock control or related diploma or degree advantageous
    • Computer literacy on Microsoft office

    Responsibilities

    • Performing all inventory related transactions in Syspro regarding stock transfer / issues/usages.
    • Write offs of obsolete stock in Syspro with approved documentation.
    • Provide support to Stakeholders – Internal and External
    • Assist the Warehouse Manager with audit queries from internal and external auditors.
    • Maintain an up-to-date WIP valuation account at every month end in collaboration with the Warehouse and Production Manager.
    • Monitor the monthly GIT Account with the SCT department and review monthly
    • Receipting of MS orders from sub contractors within 24hrs of receipt
    • Ensuring material allocations against open MO’s are performed timeously.
    • Assisting the Receiving Department when necessary with stock receiving.
    • Assisting the Dispatch department when necessary with Sales invoicing.
    • Assisting the SCT Department where necessary with system processing.
    • Ad-Hoc tasks as required.
    • Processing of stock transfers for subcontract operations in Syspro (MS’s)
    • Record all relevant stock movements as noted by the warehouse team
    • Administer stock journals where required
    • Participate in and Record all stock counts

    Technical Coordinator - Kwazulu Natal

    • Diploma in electronics
    • Management Training
    • 10 years’ experience in electronics (hardware and software) and IT (hardware, networks and software)
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a leadership

    • Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act
    • Knowledge of company policy and procedures
    • Own Vehicle
    • Hardrock experience, SCAS Surface experience, and Xcel Level 9 knowledge, will be an advantage
