    Assembly Shop Supervisor (Falcon)

    Tractor Operator

    Responsibilities:

    Transport and maintenance of equipment:

    • Moving of equipment using tractor.
    • Transportation of grain products and equipment.
    • Maintenance of equipment.
    • Terrain maintenance.
    • Execution of ad hoc functions.

    Execute general hygiene functions:

    • Cleaning of yard, bins, containers, silo, buildings and bunkers.
    • Contact spraying for pest control.
    • Execution of general functions.
    • Loading and off-loading of grain products.
    • Emptying / filling silo bags and bunkers.
    • Assist and comply with OHS act, HACCP and Food and Hygiene Safety act 15, adhere to responsibilities according to the Health and Safety act.

    Requirements

    Unit Head: Instrumentation

    Description

    • NviroTek Laboratories (with branches in Northwest and the Western Cape) is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Unit Head: Instrumentation. This leadership role oversees personnel and laboratory processes to ensure optimal instrument performance and the delivery of high-quality, internationally compliant data.
    • Responsible for the operation, calibration and validation of instruments as well as training and management of Analysts in performing those tasks.
    • Responsible for instrument maintenance, optimization and troubleshooting
    • Providing technical assistance to staff
    • Managing data quality, quality assurance, cost and efficiency.
    • Responsible for safety and environmental risks associated with instrumentation.
    • Representation with instrument suppliers and providing guidance regarding replacement schedules.

    Requirements

    • BSc in a related field / National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry OR Short course in Analytical chemistry and on method validation. Formal ISO 17025 -training and a basic management course is an advantage.

    With Degree/Diploma:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in advanced instrumentation, specialising in agricultural and food applications.
    • At least 2 years in a supervisory role.

    OR
    With Short Course:

    • 5 to 8 years’ advanced instrumentation experience in an agricultural and/or food sector laboratory.
    • At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Strong expertise in laboratory instruments (ICP-OES, SFA, NC Combustion analysers) including calibration and troubleshooting.
    • Proficiency with LIMS software system.
    • Advanced problem-solving and analytical thinking.

    Junior Grain Grader - Heilbron

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with grain handling by grading different commodities.
    • Assists with the offloading, storage, receiving and dispatching of grain by adhering to instructions and following standard procedures.
    • Ensures that silo, store areas and general premises are clean through observations and inspections, and by adhering to instructions.
    • Ensures that machinery, product handling equipment and gutters are in working condition.
    • Make sure that the control board is operated correctly and effectively.
    • Assists with general office administration.
