    Electrical Artisan (Re-advertised) – Rondebosch Medical Centre

    Description

    • A vacancy exists for an Artisan (Electrical), reporting to the Technical Services Manager.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for technical related systems of the facility, including but not limited to maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, devices and appliances

    Critical Outputs

    • Ensure preventative maintenance is conducted as per schedule and/ or per Manager’s instruction.
    • Perform onsite repairs and installations on equipment, devices and appliances.
    • Conduct routine inspection on devices and appliances- report on the functioning of plant and machinery (including transformers, UPS, generators).
    • Ensure that the necessary training is conducted with all end- users to ensure compliance with manufacturers’ specifications on equipment.
    • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
    • Maintaining good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
    • Perform standby duties as required.

    Requirements

    • Matric or related NQF level 4 qualification.
    • Trade test certification from N3 level.
    • 3 year post qualification experience in a similar role.
    • Hospital experience advantageous.
    • Drivers licence and own transport essential.

    Artisan (Re-advertised) – Rondebosch Medical Centre

    Description

    • An opportunity exists for an Artisan, reporting to the Technical Services Manager.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all air conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hospital premises.
    • This role is critical in ensuring a comfortable and compliant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

    Critical Outputs

    • Perform routine inspections, servicing, and maintenance of all HVAC systems.
    • Diagnose and repair faults in air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment.
    • Ensure all HVAC systems comply with health and safety standards and hospital-specific protocols.
    • Maintain logs of all repairs and maintenance conducted.
    • Work closely with the Technical Services team to support hospital infrastructure operations.
    • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repair requests.
    • Monitor system performance and energy efficiency.
    • Recommend improvements or upgrades to existing systems where necessary.

    Requirements

    • Trade Test Certificate in Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (NQF Level 4 or higher).
    • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in HVAC systems, preferably in a healthcare
    • Knowledge of hospital compliance requirements, including infection control and temperature regulation standards, will be an advantage.
    • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documents.
    • Physically fit, with the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
    • Valid Driver’s License (Code B or higher).
    • Must be willing to work on a rotational standby schedule and respond to call-outs after hours.

    Nursing Services Manager – RH Rand Clinic

    Description

    • A vacancy has arisen for a Nursing Services Manager, reporting to the Hospital Manager.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing and coordinating clinical activities of the multidisciplinary team by driving quality patient care and standard of service in the most cost efficient manner and within agreed budgets.

    Critical Outputs

    • Drive all nursing services activities in line with statutes, internal policies, and protocols.
    • Develop and implement nursing care strategy- driving compliance to established clinical standards.
    • Ensure optimal nursing care by establishing clinical care risks with Unit Managers.
    • Effective people management, promote retention and wellbeing through relationship building with staff and all stakeholders.
    • Drive compliance and improvement of quality metrics and quality accreditation to mitigate risks and maintain a safe patient environment.
    • Effective management of nursing budget and influence the provision of quality and cost effective nursing care.
    • Ensure optimal management departmental governance with appropriate controls and transparency.
    • Drive CPDs and formal training to address employee competence and critical skills shortage.
    • Active participation in marketing initiatives of the nursing profession and the facility in the community.

    Requirements

    • BCur or Relevant Nursing Diploma.
    • Degree/Diploma in Nursing Management.
    • Psychiatric qualified and experienced.
    • Post basic clinical specialist qualification preferred.
    • Understanding of business principles with commercial orientation.
    • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council.
    • 5 years proven leadership and management experience in a medium-private healthcare facility.
    • Basic understanding of labour legislation.
    • Computer proficiency.
