ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Field Engineer you would be responsible for securing technical business through project specifications and technical support by regular planned calls to various stakeholders within the mining and construction industry to attain profitable growth. You would also be responsible for coordinating all necessary efforts to ensure the conversion of your specifications into sales as well as assisting the sales teams with technical support on large mining projects. Far from traditional cold calling, it’s about nurturing relationships with customers, and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Maximize the sales potential of Hilti products and services through project specifications and conversion of sales opportunities with selected customer groups and mining projects.
- Maximize the sales and application opportunities in a defined list of key regional mining projects through project management of all activities, and coordination of all engineering & sales resources.
- Develop, analyse, and manage business plans related to the customer database to effectively maintain and grow sales
- Demonstrate consultative selling and value engineering skills
- Build relationships with our stakeholders, and help them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs
- Provide engineering support and coverage to a defined group of designers, both consulting engineers and focused customers, to gain specifications, through providing Hilti’s differentiated engineering service.
- Provide technical support and training to Hilti sales team and our customers, to always ensure the delivery of a high-quality engineering support service.
- Develop strong relationships with the technical decision makers to assure a high degree of success in achieving favorable Hilti solution specifications and within the mining segment.
- Attainment of specifications, engineering standards and drive conversion of sales opportunities through regular planned calls with consultants, contractors within the assigned segments through submittals, design proposals, and on-site technical support.
- Work hand in hand with sales team to solve contractors’ issues using Hilti engineering products and assist them to close sales opportunities for engineered products as well as proactively generate new business opportunities.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:
To be succesful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in the construction or mining industry gained either in a design office or on site.
- Good knowledge of the mining and construction industry and the design process of all relevant technical disciplines associated with Hilti applications/products.
- Be able to identify and show an understanding of industry needs and gaps.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
You’ll support the Finance Business Partner (FBP) and/or Head of Controlling in shaping and executing the performance management cycle, including rolling forecast, latest estimate, target setting and restatement process. Be the owner and champion for the tools supporting these processes in close collaboration with the regional team and Group controlling teams.
