    Fund Accountant

    Description

    • The Fund Accountant role involves the preparation of accurate portfolio valuations on a timely basis. The role holder is responsible for the accounting of multiple portfolios, maintaining underlying accounting records, and assisting in the production of financial statements.

    Job specification 

    • Prepare daily, weekly and/or monthly portfolio valuations.
    • Maintain the underlying accounting records for assigned funds.
    • Liaise with fund managers, brokers, and custodians to resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Reconcile brokerage and custodian accounts to underlying records.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering high-quality service.
    • Assist external auditors and support the audit process.
    • Support senior team members with audit queries.
    • Conduct periodic reviews and identify errors or inconsistencies.

    Skills Required:

    • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and structured approach to work.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Ability to priorities tasks and meet strict deadlines.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Degree or diploma in Commerce (including Financial Accounting II or equivalent).

    Junior Sales Analyst

    • The Analyst will act as a control point between Sales, CRM, CSM, Onboarding and Data teams, ensuring that fee proposals are correctly interpreted, configured, and translated into Salesforce Opportunities that drive automated billing and revenue recognition.
    • This role requires a good understanding of the Funds industry, excellent attention to detail, and ideally having experience working with Salesforce and CPQ tools. The successful candidate will collaborate across regions and departments to support our global sales process.
    • The team will be multi-region to support all time zones where Apex is located.

    Importance of the Role:

    • This role is critical to ensuring that proposals are not only commercially sound but also accurately reflected in Salesforce to enable seamless billing and revenue recognition. By acting as a control point, the Salesforce Proposal & Opportunity Analyst helps safeguard data quality, compliance, and operational efficiency across the sales lifecycle.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner with Sales and other staff involved in the sales process – all Opportunity owners.
    • Interpret proposals, including fee proposals sold to prospective clients, and build these in Salesforce.
    • Confirm that the fee proposal makes sense and the right combination of products has been sold.
    • Configure quotes in Salesforce, add necessary products and pricing
    • Undertake administrative work associated with the Opportunity, including:​
    • Creation of any new accounts.
    • Establishing an accurate account hierarchy
    • Enrichment of account data.
    • Adding necessary documents.
    • Ensure accuracy of Deal team and split to capture commission correctly.
    • Collaborate closely with Opportunity Owners (Sales, CRM, CSMs), plus Onboarding, Client Data team, and Data Quality team.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Ability to interpret complex fee proposals and translate them into system configurations.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
    • Strong interest in Sales.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience working in a multi-regional, cross-functional environment.
    • For Europe support, experience in the financial sector is required.

    Nice to have: 

    • Proven experience in the Funds industry, particularly regulated environments.
    • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce; CPQ experience is highly desirable.

    Proposal Manager

    Description

    • We are looking for a Proposal Manager to join the global Proposal Management Team reporting directly into the Head of Proposal Management in the UK. The successful candidate will be joining a global team that delivers professional and client centric proposals and presentations for strategic or high value opportunities.
    • The vision of the Proposal Management Team is to provide resources, tools, and quality responses helping deliver high-quality proposals efficiently and faster whilst being a center of excellence for proposal management.

    Job specification 

    • Collaborate with sales to ensure proposals/presentations are tailored to the client’s culture, values, language, strategy, and requirements.
    • Managing the global deal team using project management disciplines to ensure quality responses for proposals are delivered in line with global proposal process.
    • Cross-functional collaboration with deal teams to manage the timely completion of deliverables within the agreed client deadline.
    • Join client facing scoping calls/discussions to help fully understand client requirements.
    • Leveraging knowledge and insights gained from proposals and presentations to optimize the value creation generated by global Proposal Management Team.
    • Sharing feedback from the deal team with the Head of Proposal Management helping generate ideas to further enhance business and/or sales processes.
    • Responsible for ongoing enrichment of responses in the global proposal library and enhancing professional output of proposals and presentations.
    • Regular knowledge enhancement of products and services within the Apex Group and understanding of commercial trends.
    • Contributions to the ongoing improvement of the global Proposal Management Team reinforcing the global center of excellence for proposal management.

    Skills Required:

    • 1-3 years industry experience in proposal management role or similar function within financial services sector.
    • Knowledge of various fund structures i.e. open ended, closed ended, and hybrid.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple workstreams.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Good interpersonal and written communications skills and writing skills would be beneficial.
    • English speaker and additional languages would be beneficial.
    • Planning and organization skills including certification that would be beneficial i.e. PRINCE 2, and APMP.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Experience of using proposal software (Responsive, Qvidian).
    • Experienced in creating presentations to a high standard using MS PowerPoint would be beneficial.

    Senior Administrator - Dealing & Settlements

    Description

    • The Senior Administrator - Dealing and Settlements will be responsible for performing daily and monthly tasks of the Dealing and Settlements desk.

    Job specification 

    • To perform the duties of theDealing and Settlements function as outlined by the operating processes around Fund of Fund Dealing and Settlements and off-market trade instructions.
    • For cash instructions, prepare and ensure accurate and timely execution and authorization of:
    • Cash related transactions for investor fund of fund subscriptions.
    • Payment of expenses.
    • Third party cash transfers.
    • All other Cash Administration payments done both manually and on on-line banking platforms.
    • For trading transactions, on receipt of appropriate instructions; prepare, capture and confirm trades and trade instructions.
    • Ensuring accurate and timely execution and authorization of:
    • Unit Trust investments and redemptions through trading platforms.
    • Hedge fund of fund subscriptions and redemptions.
    • Ensure appropriate follow up for confirmation of transaction

    Skills Required:

    • A tertiary qualification and minimum 3+ years applicable experience or 4 years operational experience.
    • Excellent financial services process & product knowledge.
    • Excellent knowledge of financial instruments.
    • Experience on Dealing and Settlements activities is compulsory.
    • Good understanding of cash and trade instruction cycles.
    • Good knowledge of systems and systems control environments.
    • Good accounting and audit experience.
    • Knowledge of risk management processes an advantage.
    • Good communication, documentation and presentation skills.
    • Be able to “think outside the box” and adapt to changing requirements.
    • Be meticulous and have a high attention to detail.
