Qualification & Experience Required

• National Diploma
• 5+ Years Field Engineer experience within the Telecommunication industry
• Must have technical experience in data centre installations
• Knowledge of platforms including OTN, DWDM, SDH, Data (Ethernet, IP/MPLS, OSPF and BGP)
• Experience in working with AC and DC power as well as PSU units

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• 1st level 24/7 field support, escalation/ on call
• Proactive monitoring of equipment & facilities
• Network installation, testing & commissioning, bringing into services, integration
• Cross connects & jumping
• Receive equipment, branch test, storage & RMA return handing
• Incident & problem resolution as directed by NOC/TAC
• Provide service desk/ NOC cover during an emergency/Disaster recovery event

Requirements

• Qualification: Advanced Diploma
• 5 years Shift Management experience within the Vehicle Manufacturing and Production environment
• Knowledge of Business Processess
• Computer literate

Duties

• Ensure the smooth running of all operational teams within the department
• Manage and co-ordinate logistics functions to ensure that production targets are met
• Enforce proper safety procedures
• Ensure high-levels of housekeeping
• Ensure quality system compliance
• Liaise with internal and external service providers
