    Job Description

    Main Purpose 
    The position falls within Risk Independence & Legal. The individual will form part of the RIL Legal Commercial team. The RIL Legal Commercial team is responsible for the oversight and governance of contracting and transactions for Deloitte Africa and is responsible in assisting in the risk management strategy of the firm by using contracting as a risk mitigation tool. 

    Duties 
    Among other things, this individual will be required to:

    • Assist with providing internal legal support & advice

    • Review and draft contracts

    • Assist with the development, maintenance and roll out of contracting templates 

    • Assist with the development, maintenance and roll out of contracting polices and guidance documents 

    • Assist with the risk mitigation strategy of the firm

    • Assist the Vault Administrator as and when required 

    • Assist with the maintenance of the RIL Legal Commercial intranet site

    • Assist with transactions that the firm is involved in (Mergers, Acquisitions, buy outs, etc.)

    • Contract Management

    • Assist in determining new and improved ways of providing legal contracting support and contract management to the firm, including through the use of technology

    • Contribute toward the achievement of Deloitte global standards

    • Assist with DocuSign as the team responsible for the technology 

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • LLB Degree 

    • 5 years’ post qualification experience as an in-house legal advisor, preferably at a professional services firm, or at a law firm

    Technical Competencies

    • Experience in commercial law & contracting  

    • Experience in contract management

    • Demonstrated capability in interaction at all levels

    • Experience in drafting and delivering contracts, presentations, and training

    Brand & Communications-Senior Manager-Internal Client Services-Executive Office

    Job Description

    Main Purpose:
    You will report to our Corporate Affairs Leader, will work closely with the broader Corporate Affairs team, and serve as a trusted advisor to key business leaders and stakeholders across the Africa member firm. You will support a range of initiatives from brand and communication strategy and governance to development of eminence and communication materials by enabling stakeholders to deliver a cohesive, consistent and high-touch experience to our clients. 
     

    Duties & Responsibilities: 

    • Driving strategic brand management and communications related to all internal and external communication, public relations and stakeholder engagement in support of the Corporate Affairs strategy in collaboration with the Corporate Affairs.

    • Assist in developing and managing an integrated strategic communications plan, including coordinating and supporting communication schedules and high-profile deliverables across the organisation.

    • Serve as the brand and communication strategic advisor to business leaders and stakeholders across the organisation

    • Lead marquee brand and thought leadership campaigns in order to increase Deloitte’s external reputational awareness

    • Maintain and grow relationships with stakeholders across the organisations, its leadership; Deloitte Brand, Communications, Digital, Social Media and Insights teams; and an extended community of brand and marketing professionals

    • Be a champion and ambassador for the Deloitte Africa brand, ensuring that it remains relevant and impactful to member firms and developing new directions and/or assets to ensure continued relevance and impact

    • Provide expertise in ensuring communications are impactful and appropriately represent the voice of the business and our brand in the media. 

    • Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of our communication vehicles and tactics to leadership and stakeholders.

    • Ensure brand executions in local markets aligns and complies with Global guidelines

    • Manage the overall portfolio of brand and communications campaigns and activities to ensure proper prioritisation and utilisation of appropriate resources

    • Create, write, edit, and/or review of key communication deliverables and resources for delivery on a variety of channels including digital, print, email, and multimedia etc.

    • Oversee and develop content and collateral, including narrative and messaging, brochures, reports, executive summaries, FAQs, case studies, web and social media copy, digital assets and more

    • Responsible for quarterly newsletter, alumni newsletter and annual publications

    • Manage external vendors, including setting up and managing projects and ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget

    • Collaborate across the organisation with other businesses and global resources to design and deliver best-in-class brand, marketing and digital campaigns

    • Plan key initiatives on an annual basis, and as-needed ongoing, for brand and communication, including planning and managing budgets

    • Develop, track and measure metrics and KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement and opportunities

    • Ability to think innovatively and creatively, providing input into digital communications strategies

    • The successful candidate will use a combination of subject matter expertise in strategic communications, project management, as well as a broad understanding of the professional services model.

    • BA or BS degree in a related field (or equivalent years of experience).

    Minimum Experience: 

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in brand and communication, with prior experience in brand and PR strategy and planning

    • Strong writing and editing skills

    • Ability to translate complex topics for various audiences

    • Deep understanding of integrated brand and communications and digital strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results

    • Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts

    • Candidates with professional services or financial services experience or understanding of technical processes and technologies with a passion for communications are ideal. 

    • Ability to work in a virtual environment
