    Role Outline

    • This role will be pivotal in supporting the velocity at which the business is conducted, using transport planning to create optimal transport routes/plans for our business.  Determine the most cost-effective way to meet service commitments whilst leveraging saving opportunities through consolidation of vehicle routing and scheduling. 

    Key Responsibilities

    RF Clerk - Ndlovu Park

    Role Outline

    • The RF Clerk is responsible for performing accurate warehouse transactions through the Radio Frequency (RF) system, ensuring inventory integrity and operational efficiency. The role supports receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, cycle counting, stock investigations, and dispatch processes within the warehouse. The incumbent will maintain system accuracy, assist with inventory control activities, and support operational teams in meeting customer service and productivity targets.

    Key Tasks/ Accountabilities

    • To contribute to a productive working environment                                
    • Inspection of all RF equipment                                
    • Report and record any non conformity with regards to the customers merchandise or unsafe acts                                
    • Handle equipment with care to minimise damages                                
    • Accurately recording of issuing and returning of all equipment

    Champion: OMS

    Role Outline

    • To support the implementation of the Operations Management System on site and ensure sustainability. This includes the development and coaching of the site leadership team (supervisors and coordinators) and the tracking of the OMS achievements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive the implementation of the 4 OMS principles and 12 OMS elements, ensuring ongoing maintenance of the OMS
    • Engage site leaders on OMS through OMS Foundation and OMS Advisor initiatives

    Site Development Manager

    • Resource Planning: Improve forecasting and planning processes to balance workloads and introduce a structured approach for obtaining forecast volumes, either directly from customers or through better utilization of the SmartPlan tool

    • Conduct in-depth analyses and customer-specific activities performed without remuneration (out-of-scope activities) and agree required tariff changes and customer engagement actions with Site Teams

    Customers:

    • Support the Site Management team in developing a robust business case for renewals by using the Site Development Plan to review, improve, and maintain all aspects of the business, including customers, growth, staff, organisational structure, real estate, and I
    • Support renewal and new business opportunities within the area of responsibility
    • Participate in customer meetings to promote the DSC continuous improvement agenda and strategy, and to communicate progress against plans and objectives

    Implementations / Audits:

    • Provide operational support to the Project Delivery team during new start-ups or changed renewals through the use of the Startup Improvement Program (SIP) and Opportunity to Develop (O2D) guidelines
    • Provide operational support to the Project Delivery team during site changes, including racking changes, system changes, and related initiatives
    • Provide operational support to the Site Management Team during internal and external audit preparations and audits, with a focus on eliminating repetitive audit findings
    • Conduct back-checks to determine variances in business volumes and/or business characteristics between the agreed commercial setup and the actual operating environment, including deep-dive analyses by process step and/or tariff line
    • Ensure the site team possesses sufficient knowledge and capability to support Business Development (BD) staff during tender processes

    Health & Safety/Quality/Environmental/Facility/Security and BCM functions:

    • Implement checks to ensure site operations maintain the required certifications, whether mandated by legislation, clients, or corporate requirements
    • Implement a TDM with the Site Management Team to ensure strong control over GEMBA Walks and process confirmations related to H&S, Environment, Security, BCM, Quality, and Facility Management processes (aligned to ISO toolkits)
    • Verify that site teams list all deviations in the SDP, update work instructions accordingly, and conduct training on revised procedures
    • Ensure Facility Management areas understand supplier SLAs, lease agreements, and preventative maintenance plans
    • Support site decarbonisation plans to reduce energy costs, achieve ISO certification, and progress toward carbon neutrality
    • Analyse outsourced costs related to required standards, including security, cleaning, pest control, waste management, and related services
    • Identify cost reduction and optimization opportunities, supported by GBS Procurement

    Data Usage and Quality:

    • Support the Site Management Team by reviewing control reports and dashboards to identify inefficiencies and gaps in processes, enabling data-driven decision-making
    • Ensure the availability of control reports to monitor and validate data quality across various systems, including Logics, EtQ, and SmartRem

    Pre series Model Year:

    • Develop and manage launch timelines, milestones, and logistics readiness
    • Ensure all materials and components are available before production starts
    • Check the health of logistics processes to ensure model run-in readiness
    • Identify and mitigate launch risks affecting supply chain performance
