The purpose of the position is to ensure superior customer service through managing an effective warehouse and customer delivery operation.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure cost effective warehousing and customer delivery operation:
  • Maintain highest possible level of customer service (Internal and external).
  • Ensure customer complaints are solved swiftly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that proper controls are exercised with the administration of full returns, credits, cancellations and stock transfers
  • Achieve the highest possible operational efficiencies by reducing the cents per litre cost of warehousing and customer deliveries by increasing productivity and by keeping expenses and losses to a minimum
  • Manage the receiving od stock from supply plants and ensure correct storage location
  • Plan and perform weekly/monthly stock counts
  • Effectively plan the assembly and dispatch of customer orders and ensure effective functioning of inbound, outbound and bottle sorting operations.
  • Reduce write-offs and losses to a minimum
  • Vehicle, Material Handling Equipment and Site Maintenance.
  • Ensure outsourced work is performed productively and efficiently
  • Drive delivery compliance to Roadshow guidelines
• Maintain the Quality Management System by adhering to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures; Health, Risk & Safety Regulations as well as to the ISO and ICC standards
• Establish and sustain competent, motivated people.

The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within a warehouse environment.
• Competence in the use of the Microsoft Office package (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
• Competence in the use of SAP (Materials Management module) would be highly advantageous.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and strong administrative ability.
• Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Willing and able to work extended hours (overtime when required).
• Valid Code 08 Drivers Licence

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to the following:

• Drives forklift or other mechanical handling locomotive.
• Ensure forklift is in a good state of repair.
• Complete daily forklift checklist.
• Stacking and collecting of product as per required specifications.
• Loading of products onto transportation vehicles and offloading
• Ensure that no breakages occur during the movement of stock.
• Ensure that safety rules and regulations are adhered to and implemented.
• Ensure current stock count before dispatching of product.
• Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and timeously.
• Actively participate during all MDWT activities.
• Participate in stocking taking

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Grade 12
• Valid forklift driver’s license is essential.
• 2 years’ experience with operating a forklift.
• Knowledge on loading and offloading of trucks is essential.
• Product knowledge would be advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Display good communication skills
• Candidate should have knowledge of safe working procedures.
• Must be able to work overtime and shifts

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Operates, attends, start and stop power driven machines peculiar to the industry
• Scrutinizes or checks the work done by machine.
• Makes running adjustments to the machine.
• Ensure quality standards are adhered to (perform quality checks).
• Ensure settings done according to SOP’s.
• Minimize unplanned downtime on machines and equipment.
• Optimize all machines and equipment OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency).
• Executing first line maintenance.
• Actively participate in all MDWT activities.

The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• NQF Level 3 Packaging Diploma will be advantageous.
• 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing
• 1-2 years’ experience in production environment
• Physically healthy and strong
• Knowledge of operating machines and apparatus
• Knowledge of quality and Cellar administration systems
• Candidates must be technically oriented
• Candidate must display good communication skills
• Candidate must have the ability to work under pressure.
• Candidate must display sound knowledge of safe working procedures.
