Primary purpose of the job

• Reporting to the Team Leader, this position requires the services of an individual to despatch finished goods and load Trucks according to customer requirements and company procedures.

Key Performance Areas

• Despatch finished goods
• Load trucks
• Ensure correct labelling of containers
• Ensure that parts produced are despatched according to the FIFO system
• Ensure that parts are loaded according to customer requirement
• Ensure that loaded finished goods adhere to relevant safety regulations
• Ensure weather conditions are taken into account when open stillages are loaded
• Ensure forklift complies to safety and maintenance standards by performing pre-start checks

Skills Required

• Understanding of parts used in manufacturing
• Understanding of stock controlling, warehousing and FIFO
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to add and subtract whole and positive numbers
• Ability to identify, describe and verbally report problems related to work activity

Minimum Requirements                                                                                  

• NQF level 4 qualification or Grade 12.
• Valid Forklift License
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a forklift driver and logistics experience within an automotive environment

Primary purpose of the job

• To ensure that requirements are met with regard to the quality of products manufactured

Key Performance Areas

• Inspect and monitor the quality of products produced according to process control sheet
• Complete relevant documentation (Process control sheet, Tool and stillage repair      request,
• Verify and inspect parts for defects visually
• Pack items in boxes & containers according to packing instructions
• Ensure ongoing measurements of parts are carried out and measurements recorded
• Ensure measuring equipment and checking fixtures are always in good working condition
• Assist with tool changes and problem solving of parts on production line.
• Comply to safety, health and environmental work instructions and follow lock out procedure.
• Ensure clean working environment and production equipment. (House keeping)

Knowledge and Skills required.

• Manufacturing process
• Measuring equipment
• Prescribed storage and packing methods
• Understanding of parts used in manufacturing
• Understanding of OHS Act

Minimum Requirements                                                                                  

• NQF4 / Matric
• Min. 1 year experience in the manufacturing environment
• Min. 1 year experience on press tools or assembly process
• Min. 1 year experience and or background of Quality Systems
