    Program Manager: Strategy Integrated Projects (SIPs)

    • The role is designed to support the coordination of the Strategic Integrated Projects (SIPs), infrastructure programs within the National Infrastructure Plan of South Africa.
    • The position includes elements of wide stakeholder liaison, field data collection, analysis and reporting on project progress and challenges, highlighting obstacles and integration opportunities.
    • The role involves significant interfacing and engagement with key project partners for optimal and efficient project planning and implementation.

    Requirements:

    • B Degree/B Tech or equivalent qualification in Engineering
    • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in an infrastructure project environment, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
    • Project advisory experience would be an advantage.
    • Program Management, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Project Coordination.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Liaise with key stakeholders (i.e., the PICC/ISA, provincial structures, and the various project partners) on an ongoing basis to build resilient professional relationships.
    • Arrange and undertake project site visits, project partner meetings, SIP Coordination Forum meetings, and ad-hoc task team meetings, as may be required.
    • Maintain a stakeholder contact database on an ongoing basis.

    Project Progress Monitoring

    • Undertake regular field visits to projects and monitor on-site project progress.
    • Prepare quarterly project reports using inputs from implementing agents, including conducting trend analysis as required.

    Identifying & Addressing Project Challenges or Bottlenecks

    • Investigate and highlight obstacles to project implementation in association with project partners.
    • Explore possible interventions and provide advisory for fast-tracking projects in collaboration working with SIP Coordinators, implementing agents and the PICC/ISA.

    Integration across SIP Projects

    • Identify and provide advisory on opportunities for synergistic integration of project elements both within the SIP and across other SIPs.
    • Facilitate, in association with project partners, skills development and localization.

    Support to SIP management and governance

    • Prepare and make regular presentations on program coordination to the SIP Technical Committee, key project partners, including a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
    • Make strategic contributions to the sessions and deliberations of the PICC/ISA Governance Structures (i.e., Technical Task Team, Manco, etc) as required.

    Publication, presentation, and dissemination of knowledge-based products.

    • Present professional papers at national and international conferences and author articles in peer-reviewed publications.

    Health and Safety Compliance Officer (CHSO – SACPCMP – Civils Construction Projects - isiXhosa ) – Umtata

    • Responsible for conducting, monitoring, and reporting on Health and Safety (H&S) activities within work executed various civils construction sites 100km outside Umtata within the Project Management and Implementation Division (PMID).

    Requirements:

    • Fluent in isiXhosa.
    • Experience in construction safety, with specific competence in high-risk civil engineering activities associated with dam wall construction/water sector projects.

    • Ensure all necessary permits systems to perform various H&S sensitive work are applied for.
    • Oversee the Risk Assessment process for all hazardous work activities
    • Ensure use of relevant necessary safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • Monitor the compilation of safety statistics for accurate stakeholder reporting.
    • Ensure entry, annual and exit medicals are performed on site staff.

    Support Employee Trainings.

    • Promote H&S awareness amongst staff.
    • Monitor the contractor conducting H&S inductions of contractors, staff and visitors’ on-site rules.
    • Ensure the preparation and generation of H&S material and publicise through all available media including posting around sites and workplaces.

    Investigate Accidents.

    • Conducts investigation of accidents and incidents on site.
    • Performs root cause analysis of accidents and incidents.
    • Generate and circulate reports to relevant parties, including departments when necessary.
    • Communicate the findings and lessons learned to staff.

    ICT Functional Specialist - Finance

    • To design, implement and deploy software for applications in the ERP (Financial or HRM or SCM) suite.
    • Analyze business requirements for projects, recommend enhancement for optimal performance and provide application support.
    • Functional Specialists will provide functional support to the abovementioned divisions and report into the ICT structure.
    • After implementation, ideally only system support should be provided by the ICT department, and each division should have their own functional expertise to support their systems.
    • This role will primarily support the Finance stream and its integration with the SCM and HCM modules within the ERP environment.

    Requirements:

    • B Degree/B Tech in Computer Sciences, IT or relevant
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in ERP implementation, Preferable SAGE 300C Finance.
    • Functional SAGE Certification – Finance, Required.

    Functional system support:

    • Provide functional support to end- users, at 2nd and 3rd line level.

    Functional specific design and implementation:

    • Plan, lead and actively participate in the design, configuration, and testing of the solution.

    Key Responsibilities
