    Software Developer - Hay level 13 (Internal & External advert) (North West)

    Job Profile:

    • To provide software development and support services to users in accordance with the System Development Life Cycle methodology, to facilitate the execution of business processes.

    Key Performance Areas  

    • Build and code software applications in accordance with the design specifications.

    Control & Instrumentation Specialist - Hay 15/C4 (Internal) & External) NTP Maintenance (North West)

     Job Purpose             

    • To Provide control and instrumentation technical support to the NTP operations.

    Key Performance Areas

    Ensure Plant/Equipment Availability

    • Ensure plant availability within set parameters (>97%)
    • Avail spares required and repair equipment immediately.
    • Work according to work procedures and hand in documentation as soon as possible.
    • Keep workshops clean and available to do maintenance when required.
    • Develop Control and Instrumentation solutions to produce radioisotopes and to provide the necessary supporting technical and process information to ensure that all the regulatory technical requirements are met. These projects could consist of the development of new process and associated facilities, or the modification of existing processes and facilities.
    • Develop, implement and refine Control and Instrumentation methodologies to achieve the above.
    • Ensure that Process Control and Instrumentation strategies are aligned with the relevant mainstream technology developments and Optimising of the Plant for plant reliability so as production runs are smoothly Operated.

    Corrective & Preventative Maintenance

    • Assess the work; evaluate what needs to be done in terms of inventory fabrication, obtaining resources. 
    • Knowledgeable on Control & Equipment’s for Fault Finding Building Management Systems, Programmable Logic Controls and Network Field Communication Tools on Optic Fibre and Power Over Ethernet Switch and Configuration of the systems.
    • Knowledgeable on Installation of Software Upgrades and Updates on latest Versions
    • Liaise with Production personnel to schedule inspections in the plant.
    • Register all Preventative Measures on coswin.
    • Inspect the equipment to be maintained in terms of the scheduled inspections or performance test requirements.
    • Replace /repair equipment to prevent breakdowns.
    • Time spend on jobs is essential, therefore good planning and problem solving is needed. 
    • Ensure that all tasks on the inspection list have been completed.
    • Obtain sign off the completed work from the requestor and submit to the Team Leader for processing.
    • Note and report on areas of concern, make suggestions for improvements and follow the correct process. The design, development and commissioning of technical solutions.
    • Translating User Requirements inputs into System Architectural structures and Control and Instrumentation Descriptions that will meet these requirements.
    • Present Operational Concept and Control and Instrumentation System
    • Develop Control and Instrumentation system design specifications and associated acceptance criteria for new or modified systems.
    • Improve on plant availability and Reliability by replacing Obsolete &Old aged   Equipment on Projects accordingly by prioritising investments.
    • Programme CPU for executing the control programme and storing all program data by configurations on the Memory Card.
    • Completing Functionality test on Input / Output Modules connecting Sensors, Actuators and etc
    • Handling of Analogue.
    • Experience on working on VLAN, Quality over Security Systems and remote Management Skills.
    • Must have knowledge on configuration of Power over Ethernet.

    Critical Spares Control of All PLC, Modules, Network switches of spares and stock control

    • Check the consumable stock levels.
    • Identify spares needed to be manufactured.
    • Liaise with the Engineering Department and drawing office to collect the drawings for manufacturing and submit for further for processing.
    • Check all stock/components on the shelf to ensure that stock levels are maintained (as lead time from overseas can be extensive)
    • Document stock taken off the shelf and ensure that the stock is Controlled.

    SHEQ

    • Adhere to all safety aspects of NTP.
    • Do Lebo observations according to NTP schedule.

    Manager: Production/ Fabrication (Hay level 18/D3) (Internal & External) - Re-advert (North West)

    Job Profile:

    • To manage production and welding within Nuclear Manufacturing.

    Key Performance Areas:                     

    • Implement and run an affective production and capacity schedule for the shop floor.
    • Supply reliable and credible input to the quotations and procurement planning process.

    Supervisor: Boilermaking (Hay level 14/C3) (Internal/External) (North West)

    Job Profile:

    • To supervise all boiler making activities on the shop floor, train and develop staff, take responsibility for safety on the shop floor and to implement new production aids.

    • Ensure daily inspection of equipment and reporting of faulty equipment.
