    Lodge Manager

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The Lodge Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the lodge, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining luxury hospitality standards, leading and developing operational teams, and supporting the General Manager in achieving financial, operational, and guest satisfaction objectives. The role ensures the efficient management of accommodation, food and beverage operations, housekeeping, maintenance, guest activities, stock control, health and safety, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Business Management or a related field.
    • Hospitality management qualifications will be advantageous.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in luxury lodge or hotel operations.
    • At least 3 years' management experience in a supervisory or lodge management role.
    • Experience within a luxury safari lodge environment is highly advantageous.
    • Strong operational, guest service and leadership experience.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Overseeing the daily operations of the lodge and ensuring operational excellence across all departments.
    • Leading, mentoring, and managing operational teams to achieve high performance and exceptional service standards.
    • Ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction by providing personalised service and resolving guest concerns promptly.
    • Supervising housekeeping, food and beverage, front-of-house, maintenance, and guest activities to ensure quality and efficiency.
    • Monitoring operational budgets, controlling costs, and supporting stock management and procurement processes.
    • Ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
    • Maintaining the lodge's facilities, equipment, and overall presentation to luxury hospitality standards.
    • Assisting with staff recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
    • Preparing operational reports, monitoring key performance indicators, and supporting the General Manager in achieving financial and operational objectives.
    • Promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and environmental sustainability while supporting the overall success and reputation of Toro Lodge.

    Lodge Administrator/ Cost Controller Toro

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The Lodge Administrator / Cost Controller is responsible for the efficient financial and administrative operations of the lodge. The incumbent will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain effective stock and cost control systems, manage procurement processes, support payroll administration, and provide administrative support to the General Manager and department heads. The role is critical in ensuring sound financial controls, cost management, and operational efficiency.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
    • A Cost Control qualification will be advantageous.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in lodge, hotel or hospitality administration.
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in cost control and stock management.
    • Experience using hospitality financial systems.
    • Experience working in a luxury lodge environment is advantageous.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Managing daily administrative and financial processes.
    • Monitoring and controlling food, beverage, and operational costs.
    • Maintaining accurate stock and inventory records through regular stock counts and variance reporting.
    • Processing purchase orders, supplier invoices, and reconciliations.
    • Coordinating procurement and ensuring compliance with company purchasing procedures.
    • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports.
    • Managing petty cash, cash reconciliations, and banking processes.
    • Supporting month-end financial reporting and audit requirements.
    • Ensuring compliance with company policies, financial controls, and internal procedures.
    • Providing administrative support to the General Manager and department heads.
    • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.
