    Automation Lead (Anchor) I Contract

    Job Description

    • Our Innovative Analysis Team is seeking an Automation Lead (Domain Expert – Anchor) for a 12 month contract opportunity to guide and manage the delivery of automated solutions within the mining industry. This role focuses on leading teams to design, develop, and implement automation that improves processes and drives operational efficiency across mining operations.
    • It blends technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to identify automation opportunities, manage projects, and ensure successful system integration. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving innovation and business value through automation initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead automation delivery teams across multiple domains
    • Identify and assess opportunities to automate mining processes
    • Develop and manage implementation plans aligned to operational strategy
    • Ensure smooth integration with existing systems (ERP, MES, SCADA, etc.)
    • Drive performance, safety, and productivity improvements
    • Leverage platforms such as Bizagi (advantageous)

    Required Experience & Skills:

    • 10+ years in automation, process optimisation, or systems implementation
    • 5+ years in a leadership or anchor/SME role
    • Strong background in mining, engineering, or industrial automation
    • Solid understanding of automation tools, integration, and delivery lifecycles

    Qualifications:

    • Matric
    • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, IT, Automation, or related field
    • Certification in BPM, Process Automation, Lean/Six Sigma, or Project Management (advantageous)

    • Identify, design, and implement automation solutions using RPA, scripting, and workflow tools.
    • Analyse existing workflows and processes to uncover automation potential.
    • Integrate automated systems with ERP, MES, SCADA, and other operational platforms.
    • Collaborate with QA/testing teams to ensure functionality and resolve issues.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support knowledge transfer.
    • Support continuous improvement and optimisation of automation solutions

    Agile Project Manager (Contract)

    Job Description

    • To lead and support Agile delivery teams by creating an environment that fosters high performance, continuous improvement, and collaboration. This role combines Agile project management with Scrum Master responsibilities, ensuring governance, budget oversight, and alignment with enterprise systems such as ERP and workflow platforms.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Act as a servant leader and coach to Agile teams, enabling continuous delivery of value.
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews).
    • Remove impediments and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
    • Ensure adherence to Agile principles and delivery best practices.
    • Manage project governance, including budget tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
    • Align Agile delivery with enterprise systems, including ERP and workflow platforms.
    • Support teams in identifying and implementing process improvements.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.

    • Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.

    • Exposure to scaled Agile environments and enterprise-level transformation initiatives.
