    Sales and Admin Intern

    Introduction

    • Novus Print Gauteng seeks to appoint a diligent Sales and Admin Intern in the Sales Department. This position is based in City Deep, Johannesburg. This opportunity is ideal for a student studying towards a qualification and requires in service training/work exposure for a period of 12months. Please note this is an internship program, therefore stipend remuneration will apply.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

    • Provide administrative services to all Account Executives, Estimating and Sales Representatives
    • Checking and distributing of documents and correspondence
    • Typing, filling, copying, scanning, binding and managing documents and correspondence
    • Ensure the building of strong internal relationships
    • Assisting Sales Representatives with sales cycle related administration to ensure efficient workflow
    • Assisting with booking in of jobs, following up on the progress of production and communication to customers and the sales force
    • Distribution and delivery of jobs including outwork
    • Assisting and ensure seamless information flow and effective relationships between Accounts Executives, Sales representatives and production departments

    Minimum requirements

    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • 1 Years’ admin experience advantageous
    • Graduate or final year student

    Pre - Press Operator

    Introduction

    • Novus Print Gauteng, a division of Novus Holdings, is currently seeking to appoint an Electronic Pre-Press Operator in our Hybrid (Heatset and Coldset) Pre-Press department, the position will be reporting to the Pre-Press Manager.

    Job description

    • Management of the digital workflow process of material received from clients.  
    • Effective communication and interaction with clients and with the relevant  production departments.
    • Ensure quality standards are adhered to, together with accurate record keeping.  
    • Perform troubleshooting and fault finding on Pre-press equipment and machinery.
    • Adhere to all routine operator maintenance procedures on all Pre-press equipment  and machinery.
    • Delivery of quality plates on time and in full to the Press department.
    • Ensure seamless workflow planning within the Pre-press department to ensure  service delivery to internal and external clients.
    • Ensure adherence to all quality assurance and safety standards.
    • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.

    Minimum requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Must possess a relevant trade certificate  
    • 5 years’ experience in an electronic Pre press environment and working  knowledge of imposition software
    • The position requires a willingness to work  shifts, public holidays, and the occasional  overtime.

    • Build relationship with potential or existing customers
    • Determine what constitutes success with every account by analyzing different opportunities,
    • Explain our product and service to potential clients during the initial sales presentation and introduce new services and products to current accounts
    • Work closely with product engineering and assist them in developing new applications for specific products
    • Address client concerns and prepare all necessary contracts in order to close sales with new clients
    • Determine how well various products are performing, identify areas where improvement could be made, and keep an eye on competitive products in the market in order to improve sales strategies

    Minimum requirements

    • Matric /equivalent
    • At least three years of experience working with clients and managing key relationships

    CAD/Forklift Driver

    • Novus Print Gauteng is seeking to appoint a Forklift Driver to receive, store and issue stock according to prescribed procedures and principles, whilst maintaining safe occupational safety standards within the Buying and Stores department. The successful incumbent will report to the Storeman.

    Job description

    • Receiving, storing, and issuing of stock according to prescribed procedures and  principles  
    • Knowledge of safety standard operating procedures relating to  moving equipment
    • Maintaining safe occupational health and safety standards
    • Maintenance and operating of clamp and forklift machines  
    • Working knowledge of operating a handheld scanner 
    • Adherence to all Company safety policies, procedures, and SOP
    • Ad-hoc tasks include general housekeeping and assistance within the department  
    • Effective stock control of all consumables in despatch.
    • Ensure optimal use of CAD system.
    • Ensure correct receiving of inserts  
    • On time and in full despatching to customer  
    • Ensure daily targets and deadlines are met as per despatch requirements
    • Liaising with AE`s, Planning department and other internal customers.
    • Ensuring all relevant flags and Despatch documents are completed correctly
    • Updating stock movements timeously via WhatsApp on the Novus and  mailroom groups.
    • Planning, coordinating, and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and  dispatch of goods. 

    Minimum requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Valid Forklift/Clamp licence
    • Valid Code 01 / A (Counterbalance 
    • Truck / Side shift) and a valid Code 02 / 
    • C (Counterbalance Truck / Clamps)  license
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the  same or similar role  
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in  operating a forklift/clamp or any other  moving equipment
    • Knowledge of the general layout of a production or manufacturing environment .
    • Familiar with use of CAD system and despatching processes
