    Product Developer

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    PEP has been on a customer centric journey to create exciting designs and fashion trend products for our remarkable customers. We are looking for talented candidates who identify with our customers needs and want to join our newly established fashion office that has been restructured to follow a design led process.     PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To design the most wanted product for the PEP customer. To assist buyers with putting together aspirational ranges. Interpreting trends and relating the information for the Pep customers. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Interpreting trends and translating this for the PEP customer. 
    • Seasonal presentations to buying team and Buying Manager - Key Items, Head to toe looks, fabric and design detail focus, marketing messages etc
    • Creating moodboards, theme and colour palettes for customer (department)
    • Keeping up to date with fashion, marketing and social media trends always keeping the Pep customer in mind
    • Assisting in all over print and placement print development 
    • Tracking Sales to ensure customer understanding and sales knowledge
    • Pre-season product development and designing of volume item move on’s and newness / missed opportunities
    • Volume item colour and print selection according to season
    • Present testing opportunities throughout the season to the buying team
    • Assisting buyers with colour selection, colour workshops, range build and Cading up of new silhouettes.

    JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

    • Fashion Design Diploma or relevant diploma / degree (essential) 
    • 5 years design work within a large retail space (essential)
    • Working within a manufacturing space would be advantageous (desirable)
    • Adobe Creative Suite (illustrator/ photoshop/ indesign)
    • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Fabrics
    • Garment construction and designing into the PEP price points
    • Creative flair, passion, distinctive handwriting and able to sell ideas and concepts
    • Have insights and working experience of discount retail ( advantageous)
    • Competencies: persuasiveness, presenting, creative, innovative, service orientation, negotiation and influencing, business acumen

    Textile Designer

    ROLE OVERVIEW: 

    We have a newly created opportunity in our Fashion Office for a highly competent specialist driven by passion and flair for your own innovative Textile designs. Bring your portfolio of exciting ideas and your own personal creative interpretation of all over prints. If you are looking for a creative space with an inspiring culture and a team that’s redefining the customer experience of commercial design this opportunity has been especially crafted for you.

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Creating Commercial Textile Prints for the Pep Customer across all lifestyles (including Babies, Kids, Adults and Home).

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create and Design authentic/own Textile Prints keeping the Pep Customer in mind
    • Create Textile prints that are prepared for print (PFP) and in line with Pep supplier strategy
    • Interpret Trends in fashion and Textiles and make it commercial for the Pep Customer
    • Create own design prints with fabrication in mind in order to get the best look for that fabric base
    • Interpret brief from buyers and product developers appropriately 
    • Influence buyers and product developers in line with prints that would best suit the item or product 
    • Own and drive print direction
    • Assist with adhoc tasks/projects, as and when required

    JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

    • Textile Design Diploma or relevant diploma / degree (Essential)
    • 5 years textile design work experience within a large retail/manufacturing space (Essential)
    • Adobe Creative Suite (illustrator/photoshop/indesign) (Essential)
    • Fabric Knowledge (Essential)
    • Print manufacturing knowledge (Essential)
    • All over print and printing techniques experience (Essential)
    • Homeware textile experience (will be an advantage) 
    • Experience with Textile design software (advantageous)
    • Have an understanding on the print techniques needed to best execute the look
    • NedGraphics or similar software to design textile (will be an advantage) 
    • Experience using a Product Lifestyle Management (PLM) system for tracking work (will be an advantage)
    • The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and experienced with a proven track record in coming up with innovative & commercial all over textile prints.
