    Sales Representative

    Job Description    

    • RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and customer focused Sales Representative  within the baking business unit.
    • The suitable candidate will be required to address regular operational needs of customers and to monitor as well as to ensure improved route optimisation and driver efficiency.
    • This role will be based in Durban and reporting to the Sales Executive.
    • This role is a Permanent role.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Education and Qualification:

    • Matric
    • Valid Driver’s License (Code 10) with PDP and Own Car

    Experience and Training:

    • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a sales function.
    • Driver salesman experience beneficial

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Ensure efficient and cost-effective product distribution

    • Ensure driver teams deliver according to mapped and optimised routes
    • Ensure all new and old customers are plotted on the GPS system
    • Ensure orders are geared towards improving truck utilisation and loaves/km

    Ensure balancing of orders placed, delivered and returned

    • Monitor driver orders for informal trade customers daily 
    • Monitor and track returns daily 
    • Craft and action plans to drastically improve returns

    Submit sales figures from drivers daily

    • Ensure driver teams’ sales are in line with sales targets
    • Source and distribute of key trade intelligence 
    • Provide actionable plans for improvements and combating competitor activities

    Ensure the capturing and allocation of all customer details

    • Ensure all customer details and classifications are loaded correctly on new accounts and are correctly listed on existing accounts

    Ensure driver competency and delivery time management

    • Support, train, discipline and lead the driver & van assistant teams to deliver sales excellence 
    • Employ efficient route riding system to see all customers within each month
    • Evaluate on-the-job performance, and provide training on shortfalls identified

    Monitor Trade Prices

    • Submit weekly price surveys for informal trade customers
    • Monitor RSP’s and execute pricing strategy, policy and mandate 

    Build long standing relationship with customers

    • Increase sales volume and market share in General Trade stores
    • Develop a strategy with Informal Sales Representative to gain new business
    • Handle customer complaints and queries
    • Ensure merchandising to the company’s standards
    • Supports the Informal Sales Representative in providing adequate route optimisation and rationalisation solutions

    Maintenance Artisan

    Job Description    

    • RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and Technically-orientated Maintenance Artisan within the baking business unit.
    • The suitable candidate will be required is to conduct planned and preventative maintenance on machinery as well as repair machine breakdowns. Electrical and Mechanical  maintenance and repair of Bakery related machinery and equipment
    • This role will be based in Durban and reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Education

    • Trade Tested Artisan Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
    • Wireman’s License (Optional)
    • Drivers licence

    Experience

    • Minimum 3-5 years time served artisan experience
    • Bakery background advantageous

    Skills

    • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Conduct daily checks on machinery, recording any faults on the checklist and submit to Maintenance Manager

    • Practice health and safety and food safety procedures at all times and adherence to lock out systems
    • Ensure jobs allocated on the planned and preventative maintenance schedules are completed within acceptable time frames
    • Report any deviations from planned schedule to Maintenance Supervisor
    • Report to breakdowns immediately and work safely, within acceptable time frames to repair the machine
    • Delegate tasks to maintenance assistants and follow up to ensure tasks are completed within the acceptable time frames
    • Complete daily/weekly/monthly checklists and report faults to Maintenance Manager
    • Complete jobs pertaining to building and facility maintenance
    • Participate in monthly stocktakes and report on items that need to be ordered
    • Plan for projects in terms of spares/equipment required
    • Ensure project is completed on time and within budget and acceptable standard
    • Report delays/problems immediately to Maintenance Supervisor
    • Ensure toolboxes are fully stocked and kept in a clean, hygienic state
    • Perform tools in-tool out reconciliation upon completion of maintenance work being done
    • Daily communication with production operators and supervisors related to maintenance issues
    • Conduct root cause analysis on breakdowns to minimize recurrence of problem
    • Consult with Maintenance Manager to implement process change or modification to prevent further problems, improve efficiencies and minimize unnecessary costs

    Administrative Duties

    • Obtain and delegate the job cards from Maintenance Manager
    • Once job is complete, record summary of job onto job card, detailing work completed, spares and tools in/out register and time taken to complete the job
    • Submit completed job card, no later than end of shift

    Food Safety

    • Adhere to food safety guidelines as per company policies and procedures
    • Abide by all Good Manufacturing Practices requirements as set out by the employer
    • Ensure all work areas are cleaned and free from contaminants after maintenance work has been done

    Mechanic Assistant - Durban (FTC)

    Job Description    

    • RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized, fleet focused Mechanic Assistant (FTC) within the baking business unit.
    • The suitable candidate will be required to carry out maintenance & preventive service in accordance to the maintenance schedule plan and breakdowns and attend to afterhours breakdowns on local delivery fleet.

    Controller: Fixed Assets and Insurance

    Job Description

RCL FOODS is looking for an individual who will be responsible for making all finance system workflow and operational decisions that fall within the ambit of responsibility. We entrusts the individual to evaluate, review and control all fixed asset transactions and the administration of Insurance claims within the scope of responsibility.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • B. Com Degree in Accounting.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fixed assets or similar role.
    • 1 year experience supervising/managing a team will be advantageous.
    • SAP exposure (Modules Fixed Assets) will be advantageous.
    • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Excel is essential.
    • Good knowledge of fixed asset management principles and practices.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Responsible for evaluating, review and control of all fixed asset transactions and the administration of insurance claims within the scope and ambit of finance responsibility. 
    • Asset Control & Review: Create/evaluate CAPEX projects; transfer budget & contingency; control projects and capital work in progress; ensure timely capitalisation; review and sign off on capitalisation, disposal & transfer schedules; review asset master data (naming conventions, categorisations, depreciation, tax allowances); manage yearly physical verifications, useful lives reviews and zero book value assets. 
    • Control of Finance Leases: Prepare input templates for leases in lease app; raise Right of Use assets (ROU) and liabilities in SAP based on present value calculations; prepare adjustment journals for lease liability, ROU assets, interest and depreciation. 
    • Audit: Support audits and implement corrective actions to improve controls. 
    • Insurance administration: Assess claims for accuracy, validity, completeness and capture them. 
    • Reporting: Compile and maintain statistics for asset movements; complete month-end and year-end reports and reconciliations.

    Analyst: Condition Monitoring

    • RCL FOODS is searching for an Analyst: Condition Monitoring to join our Sugar Team based in Malelane. The main objective of this position is to ensure effective condition monitoring of pump stations to attain asset longevity, performance, reliability and operational cost reduction. To identify non-conformances to specification and operational parameters of electrical motors, pumps, electrical switchgear, transformers and HT lines.     • Condition monitoring of pump stations in terms of heat, noise and vibration of pumps and motors.
    • Thermal imagery of cabling and components of switchgear indicating hot connections or out of specification temperatures.
    • Record operating pressure of pumps to be used in asset management information system
    • Laser alignment of motors and pumps
    • Vibration analysis of pumps and motors to detect latent defects or out of specification operation of rotating elements and bearings
    • Ensure correct operational monitoring instrumentation in place in pump stations
