Why do we need you ?

• Ensure implementation, control, and management of all EHS systems at the Gyproc Brakpan factory.
• Ensure Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental systems are in compliance
• Ensure that ISO/OSHAS standards are maintained and corrective actions implemented.
• Monitoring compliance of OHS systems and ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ensure recommendations or deviations are closed out promptly.
• Co-ordinate and update SHERQ system files including contractor management.
• Ensure monthly and quarterly SHERQ reports are compiled timeously.
• Ensure that all SHERQ surveys are conducted and actions followed through to completion in conjunction with the Quality & Environmental Systems Manager.
• Ensure that incident and accident investigations are done, registers updated and corrective actions implemented.
• Ensure incident and accident statistics are updated.
• Ensure that SMAT/EMAT audits are being conducted and actions followed through.
• Ensure Annual PPE is issued to all employees
• Improve systems processes use in the Factory to tangibly change the safety culture leading to informed compliance by employees. This is done by conducting systems self-check audits.
• From analysed data of Health, Safety and Environmental checklists and audits to identify, plan and organise training to instill compliance of Safety, Health and Environmental processes.

Is this job for you ?

• The ideal candidate must have a completed Matric and possess a minimum Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent, SAMTRAC or equivalent. Must have experience with ISO 9001/14001/45001 Implementation and Internal auditing. The ideal candidate must also have strong computer literacy skills.

Follow SHEAR procedures when operating and provide training continuously to validate and enforce the importance of Safety, Health and Environment to all employees. Coordinate incident and accident investigation as well as site Risk activities.

• Defining and communication of WCM best practice, tools and techniques and developing external contacts.
• Development of WCM audit and assessment systems.
• Validate the WCM structure and resources and ensure alignment to the delivery of the WCM objectives.
• Assess plant employees WCM capability and ensure alignment to the delivery of the WCM objectives.
• Train and develop plant employees in line with identified gaps in capability and required succession plan.

• Actively engaging and selling (SG) products and solutions to retail merchants.
• Building sustainable customer relationships in order to maximise market advantage. This is to be achieved by focusing on retail merchants and their sales teams to actively and jointly secure market and project opportunities, through engagement with retailer’s contractors and developers to develop and implement end user agreements, leading to sustainable & profitable growth for (SG) and channel partners.
• Manage product performance issues in-line with company guidelines and offer technical expertise and advice.
• Proactively identify new opportunities for enhanced product offerings, uncovering and understanding these through application of trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, commercial awareness, and in depth knowledge of customers' businesses.
• Timeous reporting, meet deadlines and capture relevant information to the system.
• Assist marketing to launch new products (as defined) to merchant, contractor and developer customer groups.

Is this job for you ?

• This role will be suitable for a person with Matric and a Degree, Diploma or relevant industry qualification in construction/building ,Sales & marketing disciplines is preferred, or equivalent industry experience. Drivers Licence must. Min 3 years experience in external sales role with commercial awareness – ability to identify opportunities and action. A proven technical competence – understanding of technical concepts and ability to translate for commercial benefit with construction market experience and knowledge of procurement routes will ensure success on this role.
