    Account Executive: Large Corporates

    What will you do?

    Responsible for promoting new and maintaining existing business by serving as a proactive relationship manager for assigned accounts. 

    • Retention of existing institutional multi manager and SI clients

    • Actively manage the client experience of SI’s service delivery and execution of SLA

    • Formulate Account Plans for all clients in specific client area, allocated by Segment Head

    • Work closely with head of business, other account executives, business heads in Sanlam Investments (SI) and Sanlam Group colleagues in terms of developing overall client strategy and implementation plans

    • Influence overall profitability of clients by meeting targets, as agreed with Segment Head

    • Act as the key interface between the client and SI (including capability factories as well as other Sanlam distribution teams) as well as acting as a SI brand ambassador

    • Understand client needs in order to identify and price appropriate capabilities simply and effectively

    • Independently prepares and delivers effective tender documents, selling presentations, and client feedback reports in order to defend the current book as well as grow client share-of-wallet

    • Actively use and leverage capability of a cluster wide CRM

    Senior Legal Advisor

    Who are we?

    Sanlam Specialised Finance is housed in the Sanlam Investments Group Cluster and is a combination of Sanlam Capital Markets, Sanlam Structured Solutions and Sanlam Portfolio Management. This combination ensures that the businesses responsible for managing different aspects of the Sanlam balance sheet are housed together. Sanlam Specialised Finance works closely with the Balance Sheet Management function of Sanlam to assist the Balance Sheet Management Function in its pursuit of optimising the Sanlam balance sheet. The new structure is also expected to enhance risk management within Sanlam. Sanlam Specialised Finance business has two components; the first is an on-balance sheet financing business (similar to those found in the large South African investment banks) and the second is the Sanlam Portfolio Management team. The Sanlam Portfolio Management  team negotiates and maintains relevant mandates with Sanlam, and will determine an appropriate asset allocation for the Sanlam assets. This will include allocations to businesses within Sanlam Investments.

    What will you do?

    Responsible for handling a variety of moderately complex assigned legal projects. Acts as counsel on issues involving company compliance with moderately complex governmental and regulatory standards. Reviews legal documentation and provides advice on appropriate action. Coordinates legal matters requiring external legal assistance. May provide work leadership and mentoring to less experienced attorneys. May also participate in corporate affairs, corporate governance, and legal watch. You will form part of the Legal Team, reporting into the Head of Legal and Compliance, you will work across the SanFin business on varied matters in SSS, SEMPM, SPM and SCM.

    • The drafting and checking of all agreements, including OTC (Over the Counter) derivative instruments documented in terms of ISDA, and other types of Master Agreements

    • Ensuring implementation of transactions (from cradle to the grave) in accordance with Credit approvals.

    • Keeping SCM up to date with changes in the statutory and common law as far as it relates to SCM and its business.

    • Registered Attorney with 5 years related experience.

    Intermediation Financial Advisor

    What will you do? 
    •    To provide financial advice along with a financial plan in line with the customer value proposition and treating customers fairly framework.  
    •    To work in allocated key accounts and allocated markets.

    Class of Business (COB):

    Qualification & experience 
    FSB recognised qualification listed or credits pertaining to the date of first appointment in the industry, as listed on the most recently published Board notice as published for recognised qualification by the FSB.

    Sanlam Adviser Network is looking for an experienced portfolio manager to manage the Western Cape province and the surrounding area’s through managing key stakeholders and franchise principals. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker who can operate in a challenging environment and deliver on key objectives and targets. The portfolio manager role form part of the management committee and reports directly to the channel head.
