ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- The main purpose of this role is to ensure efficient operations of the plant. This position requires shift work and will report to the Production Foreman.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Conduct basic first line fault finding

ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the role is to provide a continuous input and support into maintenance and project planning activities at various the business unit and to apply the planning processes at an operational level. To follow the Work Management Process principals.

- Carry out engineering planning activities for specific sections / departments that optimise sweating of assets ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and reduce total cost of ownership
- Finance – Ensures that engineering planning activities are achieved in the most cost effective manner possible

NATREF
The National Petroleum Refiners of South Africa (Pty) Ltd (Natref) is a processing refinery owned by Sasol (Pty) Ltd (63,64%) and Total South Africa (36,36%). Natref is South Africa’s only inland crude oil refinery. This deep conversion refinery is designed to upgrade heavy, sour crude oil (oil with a high sulphur content) and yields about 89% white petroleum products.
ABOUT THE ROLE/ PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the role is to enable plant stability through optimization of planning processes and provide support to operations through effective planning to ensure productive utilization of systems and processes. Execute the principles of effective and efficient planning by fully utilizing all the planning tools and resources. Report on own performance and identify areas for improvement in the complete process.
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS
- Successful execution of shutdowns, general overhauls (GO), turnarounds (TA), projects and complex jobs.
- Managing work management for different resources according to work management process.
- Execute ad hoc projects assigned by line manaement.
- Evaluate and verify correctness of notifications and take action on deviations - (gate keeping function).
- Support in supervisory capacity (if required) during shutdowns.
- Contribute in shutdown program validation.

Sasol Mining operates six coal mines that supply feedstock for our Southern African integrated value chain. The coal supplied to Secunda Synfuels Operations (SSO) is mainly used as gasification feedstock and some is used to generate electricity. The coal supplied to Sasolburg Operations (SO) is used to generate electricity and steam. We also export coal from the Twistdraai Export Plant to international power generation customers via the Richards Bay Coal Terminal.
