    Marketing Specialist: Trauma

    What will you be doing? 

    • The role will be responsible for the profitable marketing of all Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics Trauma and Clinical Therapies products and the attainment of short-term agreed sales and profit targets, as well as devising and implementing marketing strategies that will ensure the short, medium and long-term profitability of the products within the portfolio. 

    What will you need to be successful? 

    • Establish and nurture the relationship between Key Contacts and Smith & Nephew and commercialise these relationships. 
    • Experience in establishing ongoing educational programmes on the Orthopaedic Trauma product portfolio and co-ordinating the programmes through academic and non-academic outlets throughout the country. 
    • Experience in the formulation and implementation of short-, medium- and long-term strategic plans for brands 
    • The ability to keep abreast of local and international developments and trends in the marketplace. 
    • Experience in compiling, presenting, and managing annual sales budgets. 
    • Good customer relations and providing support to the sales force. 

    Successful candidates would need the following: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare and marketing. 
    • 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry.

    Trauma Sales Graduate

    What will you be doing?

    • The role forms part of the Trauma Division and in this internship, you will work directly with the team to provide professional services to our customers, primarily Orthopaedic surgeons, in the assigned territory. One of the highlights of being on this programme is spending time in theatre providing technical information and guidance in the usage of our products during live surgery.

    What will you need to be successful?

    • Learn and observe surgical procedures, progressing to assist in theatre.
    • Work closely with experienced Sales Representatives to understand the medical sales process.
    • Build product knowledge, surgical technique understanding, and anatomical expertise.
    • Support surgeons and healthcare professionals with technical assistance.
    • Complete the Medical Sales Representative Learnership Qualification.
    • This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain real experience in sales, customer engagement, and surgical support, with mentorship from industry experts.

    Successful candidates would need the following:

    • Matric Qualification
    • Degree within the Faculty of Health Sciences
    • Valid Drivers License
    • Own Vehicle

    Commercial Graduate

    What will you be doing?

    • The role forms part of the Commercial Division and in this internship, you will work directly with the team to provide assistance to the Pricing Manager in management of price files and attending to customer price queries, assist the BBBEE Specialist with the maintenance of the BBBEE EE & SD Policy and deliverables and work closely with Tender’s team to assist in sourcing, preparing and submission of all Tenders and related documentation

    What will you need to be successful?

    • Ensure upkeeping of up-to-date Pricing files, manage pricing queries and help minimise pricing errors.

    Inventory Controller Graduate

    What will you be doing?

    • An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Supply Chain Division for an Inventory Controller Graduate. This role reports into our Inventory and Supply Planning Manager and is responsible for planning, purchasing and managing the supply of materials from Vendor to Warehouse, following source and distribution rules and agreements.

    What will you need to be successful?

    • Schedule the supply of material/components to meet sales requirements and safety stock levels.
    • Day to day order management and management of stock redistribution.
    • Understand and manage (through escalation where necessary) risks to minimize impact on sales.
    • Utilize the MRP system to ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any disparities as required.
    • Create regular key statistical reports and analysis that is used as key inputs for other functions within the organization.

    Successful candidates would need the following:

    • 1 to 2 years’ experience in data capture, preferably in a computerized stores environment.
    • Matric Qualification.
    • Supply Chain Degree or Diploma
