    Reporting Specialist

    Purpose of the position:

    • Responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes ensuring the preparation and analysis of accurate financial and operational data. This role will provide support to the financial manager as well as relevant internal stakeholders.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Honours Degree in Accounting or CA(SA) registration with SAICA
    • 1–2 years’ post-articles experience in financial reporting or management
    • Advanced Excel skills (financial modelling experience a must)
    • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Familiarity with SAP and Power BI (advantageous)
    • Valid Code 08 driver’s license (advantageous)
    • Clear criminal record

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes

    • Support programme directors and internal stakeholders with financial insights
    • Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with internal policies and donor requirements

    Quality Assurance Nurse - Correctional Services

    Purpose of the position:

    • The Quality Assurance Nurse will provide quality improvement training & mentorship of DCS clinical and non-clinical staff on prevention, screening, treatment & care of HIV, TB and STI based on identified clinical training priorities. Provide programmatic training including RTQCI & SPI-RT training, assessments and implementation

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Relevant Professional Nursing Qualification with Diploma in Nursing or BCUR Degree
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
    • NIMART training
    • Adult Primary Care (APC) 2023 course completed more than six months ago.
    • A minimum 2 years’ experience in providing Continuous Quality Improvement and at least 1 year experience in the Correctional facilities
    • Experience in QI methodology and Facilitation skills
    • In-depth knowledge of current international and national guidelines for HIV, STI, TB and Viral Hepatitis management 
    • Extensive knowledge of the local health systems from the national to the local levels 
    • Good understanding of TB, & HIV and knowledge of TIER.Net and it’s functionalities
    • Proficiency in English & any other African language
    • Valid code 8 driver’s licence and own transport
    • Clear criminal record

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Plan programmatic and clinical training according to correctional facilities needs and operational plans
    • Respond to programmatic/clinical training requests for the correctional centres and plan appropriate training
    • Liaise and collaborate with the Regional Training Centre on programmatic and clinical trainings
    • Conduct onsite mentorship to DCS clinicians and non-clinical staff
    • Facilitate clinical training programmes according to agreed standards, learning outcomes and approved curriculum
    • Ensure staff are capacitated to follow current HIV, TB and STI guidelines in accordance with the NSP and the 95-95-95 strategy
    • Review infection control plans and provide feedback and recommendations to Centre Managers aligning to the National Infection Prevention and Control Strategic Framework
    • Ability to periodically conduct IPC assessment using the DCS tools, identify gaps and work with IPC champions to address the identified gaps
    • Review local data and conduct clinical case audits to identify gaps in service delivery
    • Providing mentoring and technical assistance on all aspects of HAST programme
    • Assess local data with M&E to identify gaps for QI projects for each correctional centre
    • Support the multidisciplinary facility-based QI teams with QI meetings
    • Complete necessary reporting after each training session and according to programme reporting requirements

    Finance Manager

    Purpose of the position:

    • The Finance Manager will be responsible for overall financial management, audit and compliance, reporting, stakeholder management and staff management. This role focuses primarily on Centres for Disease Control (CDC) projects within the organisation

    Minimum Requirements    

    • CA (SA) and at least 3 years’ experience in finance, accounting, budgeting and management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • At least 2 years post articles experience
    • Knowledge of financial accounting systems (e.g. SAP)
    • PEPFAR audit experience will be a great advantage
    • Ability to work with and create financial modelling tools within Microsoft Excel (advanced)
    • Report writing
    • Clear credit and criminal record
    • Ability to communicate in English
    • Valid code 08 driver’s licence

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Financial management and accounting

    • Supervise and manage project bookkeeping including cashbook processing and journals
    • Ensure the preparation of bank reconciliations and reviews
    • Provide oversight and compliance on project debit cards, staff debtors and expense claims
    • Ensure all funder and statutory deadlines are met
    • Provide financial management support to programme directors
    • Provide assistance to departments for finance-related activities
    • Review and release electronic payments and transfers
    • Ensure completeness and accuracy of the fixed asset register
    • Overall responsibility of the financial management / trial balance as allocated

    Auditing and compliance

    • Ensure accurate accounting for VAT
    • Overall responsibility for the preparation and execution of all fund related audits (internal and external)
    • Assists with preparation and execution of statutory audits

    Cash flow management

    • Ensure adequate cash-flow management
    • Ensure loan account and inter account transfers are done

    Reporting and budgeting

    • Ensure all monthly expense claims and financial reporting are prepared and submitted to funders on time
    • Provide insight to senior management, board and external parties through review of financial reporting for projects
    • Ensure that all reports are reconciled to the underlying financial system

    Stakeholder management

    • Maintain and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

    People management

    • Ensure high level plans are communicated and assigned to the team
    • Engage in the performance review process
