    Consumer Marketing Data, Diagnostics and Protocols, Manager

    What You’ll Do for Us:  

    DIAGNOSTIC AND PROTOCOL MANAGEMENT 

    • Support management of all steps in developing, maintaining, and enhancing large scale consumer tracking studies from gathering of insight objectives, sample design, questionnaire development, supplier management, analysis plan development to platform rollout and training.

    • Support the relationship with current data suppliers, partnering with Operating Units and Global Platform Services teams, guaranteeing optimal service delivery and enhancement of identified marketing consumer diagnostics and protocols.

    • Be a partner to Marketing Platform Services Analytics team, Platform Services Data and Technology teams, OU Human & Commercial Insights teams, OU Strategy and Category partners. 

    • Work with the above to assess diagnostics and foundational protocol needs. Support development and maintenance of required diagnostics and foundational protocols at the local OU and global level.

     

    GLOBAL LIAISON & ALIGNMENT – PLATFORM SERVICES 

    • Sync Africa OU with Global Team standards and ways of working including protocol alignment.  

    • Input into the shaping of protocols to deliver the best consumer data landscape for the whole TCCC system, effectively promoting innovation, data scalability and standardization. 

     

    INDUCTION & TRAINING 

    • Support agencies in running trainings of Africa OU associates on datasets, access, independent analysis, and interpretation of diagnostics and protocols.  

    • Promote the data to ensure it is embraced and used appropriately to produce excellent business outcomes. 

     

    BUSINESS REPORTING/DATABASE MANAGEMENT 

    • Define data delivery requirements, ingestion, cleaning, metric construction, data harmonization (GTC) and warehousing so that data is consistent, comparable, and accurate across our foundational protocol consumer information base.  

     

    BUDGET + QUALITY CONTROL 

    • Africa and Platform Services Foundational Protocol Budget Management Support including Budget/ PO/ SOW management. Working with the OU and Platform Services Procurement and Finance teams to ensure finance process adherence. 

    • Working with our core providers across Consumer Performance to ensure quality questionnaire/stimulus translation including Brand/Attribute/Module Updates/Sampling design 

    • Data quality investigation (sample design, universe update, ad hoc research to validate, etc.)  

     

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT 

    • Define and project manage standard protocols in the Consumer Tracking/Landscape for the OU 

    • Africa OU point of contact for Global Platform Services Marketing Consumer Data Diagnostics and Protocols Team

     

    Qualifications & Requirements:    

    Functional Skills:  

    • Marketing Research Skills:  In-depth knowledge of sampling methods and proven ability to design and manage large, ongoing, research platforms.

    • Analytic Skills:  Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, opportunities, and gaps, and integrate across disparate data sources to solve business problems

    • Knowledge of analytic techniques such as Cluster Analysis, Factor Analysis, Segmentation Techniques, and Statistical Testing.

    • Custom Marketing Research Capability:  Ability to support development and direction of custom research projects; ability to explain and interpret data in a way that is meaningful to business needs.

    • Research Knowledge: Knowledge of industry and customer research resources (e.g., Nielsen, Spectra, CREST, etc.) and a basic knowledge of methods for gathering information (i.e., survey techniques). Knowledge of KO proprietary studies a plus.

    • Presentation Skills:  Proven presentation skills to convey insights and training material.

    • Communication Skills:  Ability to communicate complex information and implications both verbally- in interactions with senior leaders, and in written presentations utilizing "storytelling techniques" to communicate a clear, compelling, and cohesive story.

    • Network/Resources and Cross Functional Relationships: Ability to develop diverse network/resources to leverage "best in class" knowledge, approaches, and processes.  Must be able to support leading teams of internal and external resources strategically and operationally 

    • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and handle conflicting priorities.  

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required. Experience with and working knowledge of statistics packages (R, SPSS, Python, SAS, etc.) and data manipulation (SQL, etc.) is a big plus  

     

    Related Work Experience:  Minimum of 6 years of work experience with marketing research expertise. The required focus is on the relevance of the recent work they've done as it pertains to this role. Needs to have experience working across teams and geographies in a complex, global environment leading or leveraging teams of internal and external resources. Experience in a global role preferred. Ideally needs to have worked in roles that have developed both strategic and operations capability.

    Shopper Marketing Data Senior Manager

    What You’ll Do for Us 

    • Identifies advanced analytic approaches and updates our existing ones to support management and other functional stakeholder to answer business questions focusing on consumer targeting, prediction of future performance of Marketing campaigns, evaluation of brand initiatives based on ROI, optimal Marketing investment strategies 

    • Collaborates cross functionally on innovative Proof of Concepts answering business questions using innovative data science approaches 

    • Shares key learnings of research or analysis reassuring that the information flows appropriately and freely within markets 

    • Identifies and works on high-impact business problems and develops viable solutions through data analysis, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics techniques  

    • Leads cross-functional projects using basic data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities 

    • Effectively leverages Coca-Cola’s proprietary studies and secondary/syndicated data sources (e.g. Nielsen, Kantar, Euromonitor, Social listening data, etc.) to identify consumer and shopper-centric growth opportunities 

    • Tracks performance with standardized metrics & reporting routines to assess effectiveness of on-going strategies relative to desired business results 

    • Runs optimization and simulation scenarios to help provide recommendations to Marketing and Media Planning Teams based on existing Market Mix Modelling 

    • Provides insights and recommendations to optimize current marketing and trade investments through various analysis, consumer behavior modeling, and marketing mix modeling; lead efforts related to sales and margin impacts of marketing activities, including offer recommendations, projections, trends, opportunities/risks, post-event analysis, and recommendations based on analysis and business needs 

    • Develops of new analysis frameworks for innovative insight and business plan development and Innovation, opportunity identification along with internal stakeholders 

    • Continuously assesses the industry supplier, tool, and analytical application base, seek out the needs of the business, and play an active role in keeping Coca-Cola up to date on the latest thinking on tools and techniques 

    • Demonstrates thought leadership on the development and implementation of game-changing and actionable consumer & shopper insights 

    • Creates compelling fact-based analytics on category insights, brand performance and consumer-centric opportunities from available information sources (continuous and ad-hoc) to direct and support the System toward achieving its maximum potential overtime 

    • Builds true partner relationships with Marketing, Franchise Operations, R&D, Finance and Bottler teams to drive insights into action and connects with partner agencies and key suppliers to ensure best-in class design consumer and shopper research 

    • Leads, designs & applies consumer research protocols (communication, concept, product & innovation testing, formula & ingredients reformulation) and set up ad-hoc studies, ensuring actionable insights & sharing the learnings within The Coca-Cola System 

    • Manages effective spend of assigned S&I Budget and implement productivity initiatives that deliver significant and quantifiable savings to the business 

     

    Qualification & Requirements 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics or related field is required  

    • Must possess at least 8 years of experience in consumer/shopper marketing research and analytics, category management, and/or consumer/shopper research within the consumer goods industry is required 

    • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and/or Microsoft BI as well as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Basic level in SPSS, R or Python is preferred 

    • Must possess the ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, opportunities and gaps, and integrate across disparate data sources, as well as working knowledge of analytic approaches 

    • The ability to communicate complex information and implications both verbally, in interactions with senior leaders, and in written presentations, utilizing "storytelling techniques" to communicate a clear, compelling and cohesive shopper story is ideal  

    • The ability to develop and direct custom research projects, as well as the ability to interpret and explain data to customers/bottlers in a way that is meaningful to their business needs is required  

    • Must possess the ability to identify opportunities and gaps for both Coca-Cola and customers/channels via a holistic understanding of business fundamentals and application of quantitative and qualitative industry, consumer and shopper insights 

    • Knowledge of industry and customer research resources and a basic knowledge of methods for gathering information are ideal 

    • Project management skills are preferred
