Job Specification

• Leading and managing the project management office (PMO) to achieve organizational goals safely, on time, within budget and at the required quality standards.
• Management of the wholistic project management process and department in accordance with world class standards and best practices.
• Identify and use leading indicators to avoid potential negative business performance and drive mitigating actions proactively to ensure on time delivery, at the right cost, and right quality.
• Creating and coordinating action plans and preventative plans and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management department to improve delivery, cost and quality metrics.
• Manage team members and their career paths through the development and execution of individual development plans (IDP’s) and training interventions.
• To ensure a clear and detailed scope of work (SOW) and obtain clear specifications and build instructions for OE (Original Equipment), Rebuilds and Interventions.
• To initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close all projects whilst adhering strictly to the parameters of time, quality, and cost.
• To create a detailed project schedule for all projects and to ensure signoff and commitment to the schedule by all key stakeholders.
• To plan, lead, organize, coordinate, and execute according to the master build plan.
• To ensure on time delivery (OTD) of projects at the right cost and quality, and to manage customer expectations (both internal and external).
• To perform project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management as per Project Management best practices.

Minimum Skills Required

• A Degree (Technical, Operations, or Engineering) and/or similar qualification at a similar level. 
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Project Management with experience managing multiple large projects valued at R10M – R50M each, as well as managing multiple Project Managers.
• Must possess at least 8 years’ experience in a complex operations/manufacturing environment.
• Project Management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2) or similar post graduate qualification relevant to job function will be advantageous.
• ERP (SAP) software knowledge and work experience is required in order to effectively manage projects and personnel.
• Must be at an advanced level in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in MS Projects, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

• Fabricate, repair and assemble metal structures for machines.
• To produce metal products according to customer or KMC specification.
• Determining the appropriate welding method based on the job requirements.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
• Take instructions from Team leaders and Supervisor.
• A welder must set up, operate and maintain welding equipment.
• Understand and implement company’s safety standard, must adhere to zero harm.
• Make sure a job is done within the time given.
• Communicate any hazards observed.
• Check weekly that the acetylene gas is not leaking from gas bottle.
• To comply with all OHSA85 OF 1993

Minimum Skills Required

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Relevant Trade Certificate.
• Overhead crane training.
• 6 S and Introduction to gas safe.

Behavioural Competencies Required

• 3 years’experience using multiple welding machines including arc weld, TIG (tungsten inert gas) and MIG (metal inertgas).
• Must be able to read drawings to determine operations, required material and time frames for projects.
• Communication skills to work with team members.

Job Specification

• IEPCing of open service orders, i.e. R&R, CEP, Machine Build, Vendor and KSA orders;
• Ensure orders are IEPC’d in line with business requirements and agreed margins.
• Control of Gearcase service orders issued to the floor and control of Kronos Scanning documents for service orders.
• Preparation and control of Job jackets for orders, including subcontracted items such as scrubbers, and shafts repair.
• Tracking of disassembly, repair and assembly hours utilized to prevent the overrun and overbooking of hours.
• Handover report capturing and recording.
• Communicate with Internal sales on IEPC progress.
• Support continuous improvement in departmental processes.
• Update all relevant departmental tracking sheet, ensuring accuracy and up to date.
• Duties will change as per business and operational requirements.

Minimum Skills Required

• Matric/ Grade 12,
• Understanding of accountancy and mathematics
• Knowledge of KMC business processes, as well as
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)
• SAP Experience, essential
• Understanding of the IEPC process
