    Key Performance Output

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Communications, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

    • Assist the communications manager to develop targeted communications strategies and implementation plans.
    • Support in implementation of the targeted communications strategy across the business.
    • Support in development of Airport Company South Africa brand strategy, policies and systems.
    • Drive awareness of a clear corporate identity for Airports Company South Africa.
    • Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content.
    • Support implementation and monitoring of public relations and marketing plans.
    • Develop key messages to support the Digital Specialist in updating and maintenance of content on the corporate website.
    • Contribute content for the production of annual reports, newsletters and other publications required to communicate ACSA’s service offerings end-to-end.
    • Develop content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, product descriptions, videos, and blogs.
    • Graphic design skills using Adobe creative suite or similar, to develop creative content (infographics, cartoons, posters, banners, comic strips, newsletters, pop-ups etc…)
    • Quality Check content to ensure it is free of grammatical or factual errors and follows corporate brand manual protocols for consistency.
    • Compile monthly, quarterly as well as ad-hoc reports to monitor progress, trends and media analytics.
    • Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
    • Identify potential reputation and brand risks and make recommendations for remedial action.
    • Manage relationships with various communications service providers in alignment with signed SLA’s.
    • Develop processes and or procedures for the development and dissemination of ACSA approved content.

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 

    • A Bachelor’s degree (3 years – 360 credits) NQF 7 in Communications/graphic design/Public Relations/Marketing is essential.
    • 6 -7 years’ Strategic and operational in Communications is essential.
    • Advanced Ms Office and Adobe office suite.
    • Code B Drivers License.

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Programme Manager Portfolio Project Management and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

    • Provide administrative support during the implementation of capital infrastructure projects.
    • Monitor of OPEX and CAPEX expenditure.
    • Monitor stock levels and purchase stationary and /or
    • sundries for the office.
    • Generate procurement orders.

    • MS Office at intermediate level.
    • A relevant Office Administration course or diploma will be advantageous.

    Manager Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF).INT KIA.Fire and Rescue (Safety/Security/Environment and Quality - SEQ)(P51001)

    Key Performance Outputs

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Assistant General Manager-Operations Services and will be responsible for the following:

    • Translate regulatory requirements, group policy and standards and develop local F&R structure, operational plans and procedures for the airport.
    • Develop and maintain aerodrome emergency management manual that is approved by SACAA.
    • Maintain aerodrome emergency management system.
    • Ensure airport fire category compliance and any statutory appointments as per statutory requirements.
    • Approve and oversee bird and wildlife plan/program for the airport in line with group strategy.
    • Ensure fire prevention program is kept current and compliance checks and inspections (including airfield) are conducted as per statutory requirements.
    • Coordinate and influence government agencies (Dept. of Health, Medical Response Services, Disaster Management) and other stakeholders’ emergency plans (e.g. Retailers/Tenants/Banks)
    • Plan, organise, lead and control subordinate’s activities to ensure sub-functional objectives are met or exceeded.
    • Monitor and ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements, organizational standards, policies and procedures.
    • Manage people development initiatives such as performance management, succession planning and talent management to ensure team performance meet required standards.
    • Provide technical/professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organizational objectives.
    • Draft and manage SLA’s with all relevant stakeholders predominantly to support emergency response management.
    • Provide input to OPEX budget, track and monitor expenditure.
    • Analyse relevant information and situations and facilitate/recommend continuous revision of processes and procedures to avoid potential threats/incidents/accidents
    • Ensure inspections and patrols take place to reduce potential fire hazards and take remedial action.
    • Responsible for adherence to marshalling, management, deployment, oversight, training and certification requirements

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience will be required:

    • Diploma (360 credits) – Fire Technology is essential.
    • Bachelor’s degree (360 credits) - Operational/Regulatory is recommended.
    • Code EC driver’s license.
    • Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
    • A minimum of 5 years Fire and Rescue Operational Experience is essential.
    • A minimum of 3 years Fire and Rescue Management Experience is recommended.
    • SAESI (South African Emergency Institution) and IFE (International Fire Engineer) is recommended.
    • Fire Fighter 2 Certificate, First Aid Level 3/BAA recommended.

    Key Performance Output

    The successful candidate would be reporting to the Manager Building and Facilities Maintenance and will be responsible for the following:

    • Responsible to ensure execution of maintenance and capital related projects within area of expertise.
    • Input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the asset.
    • Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure.
    • Conduct studies and make recommendations on upgrades/replacements of assets.
    • Manage Service Level Agreements

       Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 

    • 3 years Bachelor’s degree (360 credits) in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronic, Construction Management or Industrial Engineering is essential.
    • Relevant 5 years of operational infrastructure maintenance experience.
    • 1 to 2 years of project supervisory experience is recommended.
    • Registration will ECSA will be advantageous.
    • Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.

    Fire Prevention Officer.REG BLM

    Key Performance Output

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Airfield Services, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

    • Ensure compliance to aviation legislative requirements (CAA – Civil Aviation Authority, ICAO – International Civil Aviation Organization, and Municipal by laws).
    • Ensure the buildings comply with legislation, signage, escape routes, fire extinguishers, hose reels as per SANS.
    • Analysis of current systems and improvement thereof where required.
    • Ensure regular site visits and inspections with staff.
    • Conduct training on fire prevention.
    • Develop and maintain a fire prevention plan.
    • Develop and implement a stakeholder auditing system.
    • Conduct SANS (South African National Standards) audits and building evacuations.
    • Ensure that all fire equipment is serviceable.
    • Build, support and maintain healthy diverse internal (peers, unions, team) as well as external (service providers etc.) relationships and implement remedial actions where required to ensure achievement of organisational goals and enhance emergency response preparedness.
    • Maintain appropriate level of interaction with airport stakeholders.

     Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 

    • National Senior Certificate is essential.
    • Relevant (Fire Prevention) Diploma is essential.
    • 3 years operational experience is essential.
