    Head of Talent Management

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Degree: Human Resources Management, Business Studies, or Industrial Psychology
    • 5 – 7 years’ experience in HR, with at least 3 years in talent development.
    • Previous experience in the healthcare industry advantageous
    • 1-2 years’ management experience

    Minimum work experience:

    • Develop, implement and facilitate talent management strategies and programmes to deliver business objectives successfully and prepare the business for future workforce requirements
    • Facilitate the employee value proposition for talent acquisition and retention and ensure the development and submission of reports to relevant committees and reporting structures, for statutory and legal compliance decision making.
    • Develop and review the recruitment and talent development and management practices and interventions for the purposes of evaluating effectiveness and alignment to talent strategies.
    • Develop and manage recruitment and selection standards for the organisation, including implementing and continually developing robust recruitment processes
    • Overseeing the day-to-day management of the recruitment process, including reviewing job descriptions, website advertising, updating of the company resource plan, sifting and selection of CV’s, attending interviews and selecting candidates
    • Streamline the department and drive alignment, collaboration and synergy between the various stakeholders (Business Partners, HR operations and Performance and Learning) to provide a comprehensive business solution
    • Take a tactical strategic view of the value chain to ensure the Talent Management is optimally integrated in HR and the business and optimised within CHG’s operating context
    • Manage interfaces beyond CHG with relevant entities (private, labour and government)
    • Build mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrate visible leadership in respect of company values, operating model and strategy
    • Participate in committee meetings and forums
    • Lead and manage the Talent acquisition team meetings and ensure participation from all parties
    • Comply with cost controls to achieve section budget
    • Report on cost usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters
    • Ensure financial documentation is maintained to support accurate record keeping and future requirements as per legislation
    • Research, collate and present business intelligence to feed into management decisions and support business strategy
    • Ensure complete, timeous, and accurate reporting with appropriate levels of escalation to enable effective decision making
    • Drive adherence to statutory standards, policies, and procedures within the business unit to always ensure compliance and take remedial action where necessary

    Clinical Engineering Technician

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • National Diploma/ B-Tech in Electrical Engineering: Clinical specialisation. 
    • 5-7 years’ experience.
    • Hospital experience is non-negotiable.
    • Member of the Clinical Engineering Association of South Africa (CEASA)

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Develop clinical equipment management policies and ensure the adherence thereof
    • Develop the planned preventative maintenance schedule and related guidelines
    • Conduct site visits to all CHG hospital to ensure proper use of machinery and equipment and confirm working conditions thereof
    • Ensure the availability adequate of medical equipment / spare parts and stock at all facilities
    • Maintain accurate recording of equipment in inventories across all CHG facilities
    • Inspect work performed and ensure work is performed according to CHG standards
    • Implement, monitor and control technical and maintenance processes according to quality standards, policy, and compliance and governance requirements
    • Build professional long-term relationships with stakeholders
    • Investigate and understand stakeholders needs to enable delivery of a quality service
    • Clearly define goals and objectives and provide direction, coaching and regular feedback
    • Oversee and plan training for clinical technicians to ensure the team keeps abreast of advancements and new technologies
    • Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures and standards
    • Ensure performance contracts are implemented and that performance reviews are conducted and approved timeously
    • Comply with cost controls in order to achieve clinical engineering budget
    • Prepare monthly operation reports
    • Ensure complete, timeous and accurate reporting with appropriate levels of escalation to enable effective decision making
    • Adhere to statutory standards, policies and procedures within the business unit to ensure compliance at all times and take remedial action where necessary

    Civil Artisan

    Job Summary:

    • The Technical Artisan is responsible for all civil, electrical or mechanical related systems of the facility, including but not limited to maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, devices and appliances.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Electrical or Mechanical Diploma
    • National Trade Certificate
    • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a hospital/healthcare
    • Computer literacy
    • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    • Management of daily job cards.
    • Knowledge of R158 Building regulations with specific reference to Hospitals and theatre specifications as well as industrial kitchen
    • A good working knowledge of PFC and stand-by power facilities
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
    • Good planning and organization skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
    • Willingness to work overtime when necessary

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Responsible for civil-related systems of the facility
    • Repairs, maintenance and supervision of all sewers, hot and cold-water system, structures, furnishings and fitting
    • Guidance on repairs to water pressurised fire systems
    • Monitoring and quality control of all contractor work carried out on hospital land and buildings
    • Safety of all sewers, hot and cold-water systems, structures, walkways, furnishings, fixtures and fittings.
    • Preventative maintenance planning and implementation, according to company policies and procedures, as determined from time to time
    • Report on the condition and functionality of the area responsible
    • Maintaining full and accurate records for all maintenance work and services undertaken on areas under this person
    • To perform a stand-by function in accordance with Policy.
