    Occupational Therapist - Benoni

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • As the Occupational Therapist, you will focus on hands-on clinical care—assessing each patient’s functional needs, designing evidence-based treatment plans, and guiding them toward greater independence in everyday activities. You will contribute your expertise to an interdisciplinary team committed to person-centred rehabilitation and measurable, high-quality outcomes.

    REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

    • Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy with community-service year completed
    • Registered with the HPCSA as an independent practitioner and covered by malpractice insurance
    • CPD portfolio up to date in line with HPCSA standards
    • Bobath / Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) training an advantage
    • Basic or intermediate wheelchair assessment/prescription skills beneficial
    • Keen interest in both paediatric and adult neurological rehabilitation
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in neurology, cognitive therapy, and spinal-cord injury care
    • Broad clinical exposure, including orthopaedics, SCI, and neurology
    • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within an interdisciplinary team
    • Valid driver’s licence and reliable own transport

    Physical Rehabilitation Therapy Manager - Cape Town

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the therapy team.
    • Coordinate and monitor patient treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
    • Use data to measure therapy outcomes and implement improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure all therapy services meet internal policies, external regulations, and accreditation standards.
    • Lead and support professional development and performance of therapy staff.
    • Collaborate with nursing, medical, and support teams to provide integrated care.
    • Engage with patients and families to promote participation in therapy and long-term wellness.
    • Conduct physical assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for in-patients and out-patients to achieve patient goals.

    Physiotherapist - KwaDukuza

    You will:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments, formulate clinical diagnoses and design autonomous, evidence-based treatment plans.
    • Provide physiotherapy interventions to in-patients and out-patients across the rehabilitation continuum.
    • Develop appropriate, goal-directed packages of care and offer clinical and professional advice to patients, carers and fellow clinicians.
    • Act as a source of expertise and guidance for therapy support staff.
    • Contribute to discharge planning, patient/family education and community reintegration.
    • Participate in weekend/public-holiday rotations as required.

    REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

    • Degree in Physiotherapy
    • Current HPSCA registration and malpractice insurance
    • Up to date CPD status
    • >5 years’ experience in a rehabilitation environment
    • Special interest / expertise within neurology and orthopaedics
