Role Description
- This role is based at 1 Mutual Place, Sandton, and will service the Northern Region, including Thohoyandou, Polokwane, Rustenburg, Witbank and Rustenburg areas. The Business Development Manager sustains the growth of the Old Mutual Worksite business by acquiring and activating new accounts within the Personal Advice market.
Key Performance areas:
Local Market Acquisition Strategy Development
- Liaise with sales and marketing teams to identify potential markets, in both the private and public sectors and opportunities in the retail branches.
- Present Old Mutual SA holistic CVP to external stakeholders for the potential acquisition of new accounts.
Account Acquisition
- Acquire formal access and service level agreements with the client for each new Public and Private Sector account.
- Collaborate and partner with internal business units to allocate the newly acquired account to the retail channels.
- Manage and nurture the Service Level Agreements entered with the client by ensuring that Workplace advisors are allocated formally to each account.
- Ensure that the number of new market acquisitions remains adequate to cater to the demand required by the retail channel.
- Influence and drive growth of provincial market share.
- Collaborate and network with the internal business units to cross-connect and optimize new market acquisitions.
- FAIS compliant.
- Experience in account management with institutional clients an advantage.
- Experience in market acquisitions and stakeholder relationships.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key interface between new accounts and all relevant internal stakeholders.
Account Management and Sales Support
- Responsible for the overall compliance with regional and national memorandum of understanding (MOU) by all internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with sales and marketing teams to identify potential markets, in both the private and public sectors and opportunities in the retail branches.
- Present our CVP to potential markets
- Drives Financial Wellbeing Program (FWP) sessions to create selling opportunities for advisers.
- Ensures effective management of finances within allocated budget. (Appropriate budget to be allocated annually for activities` execution).
- Review client requirements on an ongoing basis for all existing regional and national clients.
- Report on progress made against set targets to all stakeholders, specifically

Leadership and Direction

Customer Relationship Management / Account Management
- Develop and implement relationship management plans for complex existing customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision-makers and influencers within the customer organization and to enable effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues. Manage ongoing relationships with identified customer segments to ensure their needs are met, providing themes, summary analyses, and recommendations for changes based on customer input.
Sell Customer Propositions
- Configure a complex product-and-services solution and associated contractual terms that meet the customer's mid- to long-term needs, taking input from relevant internal specialists. Role Summary
- A great opportunity to join a growing and focused investment team as a Quant analyst. The role will require the development implementation of complex quantitative models and analytical strategies in both local and global capital markets, working within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintain, run and evolve the quant elements of the existing models and processes.
- Assist with fund manager style and skill analysis including holdings-based analysis.
- Build and maintain quant-based analysis tools per asset class with auto reporting mechanisms.
- Build and maintain an optimisation workspace that each product/solution can use as an objective starting point for portfolio construction.
- Assist with data mining and analysis for the purpose of strategic value add and thought leadership.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
