    Manager, Logistics Operations (Warehouse)

    Summary :

    • The Warehouse Manager will oversee the management of a department within the South Africa Warehouse organization to ensure our clients receive the highest possible service. They will be responsible for ensuring service levels and business targets are achieved whilst keeping safety and quality at the heart of the operation. You will drive the EMEA Warehouse strategy and coach and develop the team to be high performing and deliver results.

    • Collaborate with neighboring functions to exceed the customers’ expectations.
    • Analyse performance and identify continuous improvement initiatives.

    What you need :

    • Equivalent of University Degree or equivalent desirable experience.
    • 8 + years of experience in Warehouse / Logistics Operations with leading a diverse team in a warehouse environment
    • Great communication skills (Professional Working Proficiency in English )
    • LEAN Six Sigma Green or Black belt qualification is an advantage.
    • Experience of working within a team.
    • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
    • Can demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills
    • General knowledge of Quality management systems (QMS) tools
    • Planning/Organization – Understands what is needed to accomplish project objectives and establish appropriate goals and priority. Demonstrate clear evidence of objective measurement of their achievements.

    Manager, Logistics Operations (National Kit Room Manager)

    Summary :

    • The role is responsible for managing subordinates in professional jobs or managing through subordinate managers / supervisors or is a leader of process that achieves results through others. The job requires professional knowledge gained through substantial applicable work experience, to supplement formal knowledge, in order to apply principles and concepts of own discipline in resolving issues as they arrive. The job has full management of a team, including management of people, defining roles and responsibilities, planning for the department's future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions or changes.
    • You will lead the kit teams (in some cases at country level) in meeting customer service and quality requirements. You will have responsibility for ensuring that key metrics are delivered on time every time. This encompasses the entire operational process related to that specific area, ensuring a “Best in Class” organization is created and maintained through implementing solutions to further develop, maintain and improve customer satisfaction, reduce cost and optimize inventory. Support upper management with strategic decision making processes that could potentially impact multiple regions. You will directly manage and develop employees up to and inclusive of Sr. Supervisors and Supervisors.

    What you will do :

    • Accountable for all key activities and responsibilities of most senior direct report.
    • Devise the Loan Kit strategy for the country/ region. This will require the provision of a detailed operational review of all processes, procedures, methods and tools to determine adequacy to meet the performance objectives of the department.
    • Leading a team of people across multiple sub-teams, to include leadership of people managers
    • Ensure that the best talent is sourced, developed, managed and engaged by leading within a highly motivated team environment. Meet and exceed business expectations.
    • Actively encourage sharing of talent, knowledge and expertise to achieve the best possible results.
    • Plays a coaching role with talented team members and people leaders, ensuring their ongoing development, and actively identifying and supporting the talent pipeline.
    • Collaboratively works to set specific and meaningful development goals and works with the team members to create individual development plans.
    • Takes responsibility for and work in collaboration with other stakeholders to set and achieve departmental and divisional KPIs / objectives such as Kit Service levels, efficiency, quality & financial performance metrics.
    • Manage effective communications with the team to deliver operational targets. Ensure issues are escalated and any required briefings are effectively delivered
    • Regularly review and provide input to the relevance of the KPI’s and make proposals for adjustments or additions to drive the right behaviors and actions in the team towards serving our customers.
    • Represent the kit operations team in local leadership team meetings and be accountable for all follow-up actions. May represent the kit operations team in business unit leadership meetings if needed.
    • Lead or support annual employee pay review process (also known as Common Annual Review) for the employees within the department"

    What you need :

    • Equivalent of University Degree or equivalent desirable experience.
    • 8+ years’ Experience in operations, Kit room or logistics including a customer facing role with people management experience.
    • Proven expertise in ISO 9001 Quality Management systems and processes.
    • Proven track record building and managing highly engaged operational teams and hitting operational KPIs.
    • In depth experience of business process analysis and leading improvement initiatives
    • Well versed in Microsoft Office tools.
    • Experience in people and project management.
    • Lean Six Sigma Qualification or have professional experience in leading lean projects
    • Knowledge of PowerBI, PowerApp or other business analytics tools
    • General knowledge of Quality management systems (QMS) tools
