    Manager, Operations, WMS Controller

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Degree an advantage
    • Intermediate computer literacy level in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Key user of Warehouse Management Systems preferably JDA Dispatcher (Red Prairie) or other DSV systems (TMS)

    Job Related Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Logistics/ supply chain/ warehousing or likely Business .
    • At least 1–2 years in a system super-user, key-user, or system support role (WMS, TMS and or Customer service management tools)
    • Proven experience in system rollouts, UAT, or systems training
    • Unendorsed license & own transport;
    • Ability to travel around Gauteng, South Africa & International;

    Main purpose of the role

    • The WMS Key User is responsible for ensuring the effective use, support, and continuous improvement of the Warehouse Management System within daily operations. Acting as the link between warehouse operations, IT teams, and management, the Key User ensures smooth system performance, provides end-user support and training, and participates in system upgrades or process improvement initiatives.
    • Execution of System Driven Warehouse activities to ensure maximum productivity and work load balancing.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

    System Operations & Support

    • Serve as the first point of contact for warehouse staff on WMS-related issues.
    • Monitor system performance and ensure transactions are processed correctly.
    • Troubleshoot errors and escalate unresolved issues to the WMS/IT support team.
    • Test new functionalities, upgrades, or patches before deployment. Manage UAT for system updates and changes.

    Process & Data Management

    • Ensure accuracy of master data (SKU setup, bin locations, stock attributes).
    • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock adjustments, and reconciliation.
    • Validate inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse transactions in the system.
    • Report system or process anomalies to management.

    Training & Knowledge Sharing

    • Train and guide warehouse staff on WMS processes and best practices.
    • Update and maintain user manuals and process documentation.
    • Act as a subject matter expert during audits and compliance checks.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Analyze daily operations for process bottlenecks or system inefficiencies.
    • Suggest improvements in workflows and system usage.
    • Support new project rollouts, WMS implementations, and integrations.
    • Travel: Reasonable local and international travel requirement to use knowledge, skills and experience in support of relevant DSV business objectives.
    • Warehouse Management Systems: Knowledge of key functions and features of systems used by DSV, in support of solutions development, sales activities and implementations; Knowledge of RedPrairie/ Blue Yonder/ JDA will be beneficial.
    • Support: Support current instances of WMS implementations;
    • Assessments of current WMS solutions
    • Liaison with various global IT teams including EDI. IT Solutions and support, Global BCM application engineering

    Example of Daily Activities:

    • Log in and verify WMS system availability and functionality.
    • Monitor inbound processes (receipts, put-away confirmations).
    • Monitor outbound processes (picking, packing, shipping confirmations).
    • Check system alerts, error logs, and resolve data discrepancies.
    • Support warehouse staff with scanning or transaction errors.
    • Perform spot checks on system transactions vs. physical stock.
    • Run daily reports (inventory accuracy, order status, system exceptions).
    • Update supervisors on issues affecting productivity.
    • Conduct on-floor user support and coaching when staff encounter system-related difficulties.
    • Document issues and escalate recurring/systemic problems.

    Pharmacist, Solutions

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Bachelor of Pharmacy
    • Advanced Computer Literacy Level in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

    Job Related Requirements

    • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in the pharmacy sector post the completion of internship and community service.
    • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council.

    Main purpose of the role

    • The successful incumbent of this night shift Pharmacist role will be obligated to ensure adherence to statutory requirements as outlined in the Pharmacy Act 53/1974, Medicines and Related Substances Control Act 101/1965 and all associated regulations.
    • The incumbent will also be required to portray a Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Quality representative role. This particular portfolio is perceived as a part-time role mainly determined by the facility's assigned tier.
    • Commitment to quality in respect of pharmaceutical product integrity remains pivotal with the incumbent. This is done in good faith and ensuring appeasement of regulatory authorities, whether domestic or foreign, as and when required.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist in upholding all compliance obligations set forth in the Pharmacy Act 53/1974, Medicines and Related Substances Act 101/1965 and associated regulations on behalf of the DSV Solutions' business unit.
    • Uphold GxP principles at the DSV Solutions Gauteng Park wholesale pharmacy.
    • Support Responsible pharmacist through the communication of current issues ensuring ongoing HealthcareQMS compliance within the pharmaceutical instance.
    • Active participation in audits whether internal, client, statutory or other.
    • Active participation in non-conformance closure through appropriate implementation of remedial action & deviation tracking

    • Active participation in procedures associated with product lifecycles i.e. receiving, sampling, retention, returned/rejected, re-packing and other.
    • Develop and implement operational processes, procedures, process flows and / or other written documentation in pursuit of pharmaceutical quality, as and when required.
    • Active participation in CAPA process to ensure successful closure of identified shortcomings.
