    Senior Certified Aviation Technician (Avionics) - SVM

    Description

    • Conduct line maintenance inspections;
    • Ensure quality is in on Pre-Flight, Post Flight and Transit inspections performed;
    • Conduct routine inspections on various avionics systems on the aircraft;
    • Perform A-checks including weekly service checks;
    • Conduct fault finding and rectify based on the fault;
    • Perform thorough daily inspections of the aircraft to identify any potential issues or defects;
    • Conduct necessary maintenance tasks to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft;
    • Adhere to established maintenance procedures and safety standards;
    • All activities must be properly recorded and signed off as per SACAA
      requirements ensuring that all the required legal aspects are complied with;
    • Health and Safety requirements must always be complied with to ensure Personal and other Personnel Safety, Fire and Accident/Incident preventions;
    • Ensure that the work area, equipment, and tooling are properly maintained and safe prior to starting any job to prevent accidents or incidents to aircraft and staff;
    • Maintain the highest quality and standard of inspections;
    • Apply analytical thinking and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions;
    • Communicate clearly and professionally to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of maintenance tasks.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent;
    • Licensed AME with a SACAA W1, W2, W3 license on B738 -400/ -800(Essential);
    • Compass Swing (Advantageous);
    • Minimum of 15 years aviation experience;
    • Line and SVM experience;
    • Previous experience working on B737-400 and -800;
    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
    • Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally;
    • Valid South-African passport holder;
    • Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards;
    • Good understanding of the Avionics Schematic systems;
    • Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting experience on B737/400/800;
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    Senior Manager: Operations

    Description

    Responsible for the following:

    • Safe operations.
    • The control of operations and operational standards of all aeroplanes operated.
    • The identification of operations coordination functions which impact on operational control.
    • All legal documents are compliant with the SACAA regulation.

    Oversee the following for operational efficiency:

    • Schedules.
    • Training programmes.
    • Crew scheduling and rostering.
    • Ensure that FlySafair operations are conducted in accordance with current regulations, standards and policies.
    • Responsible for the actioning of any aeronautical information affecting the safety of the schedule.
    • The dissemination of aeroplane safety information, both internal and external, in conjunction with the safety management system.
    • Oversee the efficient management and control of slots.
    • Oversee that the aircraft performance specifications are aligned to the routes and aerodromes;
    • Oversee that the navigational department is efficient and that all scheduled flights are safe and optimised;
    • Must be actively involved in any emergency that may affect operations;
    • Responsible for formulating and implementing of policies and procedures;
    • Ensure the preparation and verification of the department's fixed expenses;
    • Ensure that relevant feedback and reporting is provided to Executive Management;
    • Responsible for the contents of the operator's Relevant Operation Manuals;
    • Responsible for all functional aspects of Safety, QA and company training departments;

    • Liaise with Maintenance Control Centre regarding serviceability and availability of aircrafts;
    • Responsible for the International Flight Support system (IFS);
    • Drive fuel efficiencies through process optimisation;
    • AIMS optimization;
    • Oversee and manage complex projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and timely completion;
    • Ensure Resource Management System (RMS) implementation and efficient use of the system;
    • Draw reports, analyse data, drive efficiencies and report on trends;
    • Develop, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders i.e. ACSA, ATNS, Boeing etc;
    • Oversee and ensure that all 90-day legal documentations are completed in accordance with the FlySafair Operations Manual; -
    • Ensure Operations follow and comply with current CAA regulations, airworthiness and safety standards;
    • Responsible for regulatory CAA liaison, change of regulations and providing input to CARCOM;
    • Responsible for the overall discipline, welfare and morale of the team.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent years of aviation management experience;
    • Minimum of 10 years' Aviation experience, of which, 5 years must be Managerial experience in the Operations Support function;
    • In-depth knowledge of Operational Support and Flight Operations;
    • Must have sound knowledge of CAA regulations and procedures (Essential);
    • Knowledge of Air Traffic Control;
    • General knowledge of NAV planning, route structures of ATNS, Airports and Aircraft performance;
    • Knowledge of Part 121 operations;
    • Effective management and delegation skills;
    • Excellent Communication skills;
    • Good presentation skills;
    • Strong financial and business acumen;
    • Complex problem solving;
    • Strong decision-making;
    • Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions;

    Training Administrator

    Description

    • Complete SACAA documentation;
    • Ensure that documents are initialled and signed in line with requirements;
    • Check SACAA submission packs and alert the relevant stakeholders of necessary corrections;
    • Scan and save documents;
    • Submit documents to SACAA;
    • Track submissions and update the submissions spreadsheet and KPI list;
    • Maintain the submission filing system;
    • Inform SACAA of urgent collections;
    • Follow up on the status of license collections;
    • Collect licenses from SACAA’s offices;
    • Ensure all information in licenses is correct;
    • Capture details for all licenses that were collected;
    • Prepare licenses for distribution;
    • Distribute licences and ensure that confirmation of receipt is received and filed;
    • Dispose of documents in line with SOPs;
    • Maintain the filing system and ensure that it is user-friendly;
    • Process and prepare correspondence, or other documents as and when requested;
    • Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, and deliveries;
    • Compile and distribute minutes and reports when required;
    • Schedule appointments and meetings where required;
    • Obtain sign-off on invoices and submit invoices to finance for payment.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential);
    • 1 – 2 years administration experience (Essential);
    • Experience in the aviation industry (Desirable);
    • Valid driver’s license.
