    Finance Manager - JHB

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    Financial statements and reporting

    •  Produce enhanced standard financial reports on assets.
    •  Support the Head of Finance in reviewing CORE balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
    •  Support with required information relating to the the monthly and quarterly exco and board packs, and other financial presentations for review by the Head of Finance.
    •  Provide support to the Head of Finance during annual audit and with the preparation of the annual financial statements.

    Improving and implementing Financial Management

    •  Participate in the assessment, development, and facilitation of financial literacy, reporting, monitoring, and related internal controls of fixed assets.
    •  Analyse, interpret and communicate financial and performance data relating to fixed assets

    People management

     Manage staff (in line with policies, procedures, and standards) by:

    • o Partnering with HR on recruitment and induction of new team members.
    • o Managing the performance review process.
    • o Identifying training needs or staff support needs and ensuring that such training or support is provided.
    • o Mentoring and guiding staff by facilitating regular meetings.

    Fixed Asset management

    •  Regularly co-ordinate with the regional office managers to ensure that assets are adequately verified/transferred as per the agreed verification process.
    •  Travel to the regional offices from time to time to ascertain the internal controls around fixed assets.
    •  Continuously assess and ensure the gaps identified in fixed assets are timeously addressed.
    •  Support the Head of Finance in formulating the automated process mapping/flow for fixed assets.
    •  Regularly review the Asset Management SOP to ensure that it remains relevant for the organisation.
    •  Evaluate the Assets reporting and controls against the Asset Management SOP to ensure that it is appropriately adhered to.
    •  Support the Head of Finance in assessing the useful lives and residual values of assets annually.
    •  Ensure that assets are correctly depreciated in line with the approved accounting policy.
    •  Manage and retain relationships with various vendors relating to fixed asset management, to meet the requirements of the organisation.
    •  Ensure that the monthly fixed asset transactions are correctly and adequately recorded.
    •  Ensure that monthly fixed asset register is correct, up to date and ties to the general ledger.
    •  Collaborate with the Insurance Manager to ensure that fixed assets are adequately covered by insurance.
    •  Collaborate with Grants and ensure that the fixed assets for all projects are properly closed out.
    •  Collaborate with Grants to ensure that donation, disposals and write of assets are correctly treated as per donor requirements
    •  Support the Head of Finance in the implementing the annual asset management plan including the verification process.

     Manage the fixed asset registers process and ensure standard operating procedures is applied in terms of the below, amongst others:

    • Disposal of assets
    • Purchasing of assets
    • Transfer of assets
    •  Capitalization and depreciation of assets.
    •  Actively support the Head of Finance in managing the assets project plan to ensure it is successfully executed, evaluated and reported on.
    •  Actively support the Head of Finance in managing the physical verification of assets to ensure that all assets on floor agreed to those in the general ledger.
    •  Any other tasks allocated regarding fixed asset management.

    System Implementations

    •  Actively participate in the roll out, data cleansing and migrating of the new system implementation upgrade and get involved in the training, testing and change management.
    •  Support Head of Finance with the implementation of other systems initiatives

    Stakeholder management

    •  Develop relationships with relevant financial institutions, internal, external and funder auditors and stakeholders to ensure good working relations.
    •  Assist with the external and internal audit and ensure that all queries are timeously addressed.

    Ad Hoc activities

    •  Support with cost recoveries and regular EFT payments reviews and approvals.
    •  Any other duties assigned by Line Manager

    Minimum qualifications and experience

    •  B. Compt / BCom Hons/ Professional accountant
    •  At least 3 to 6 years’ progressively responsible experience in an financial management role
    •  Strong technical expertise and proven record on fixed assets management
    •  Solid staff managerial and supervisory experience working in cross functional teams
    •  Solid knowledge of financial accounting policies and procedures
    •  Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
    •  Enterprise resource planning /systems experience

    Enrolled Nurse - Vanderbijlpark

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Support facilities with phlebotomy work by identifying clients eligible for viral load monitoring and collect blood specimens for viral load testing.
    • Screen clients for STIs, TB, Hypertension, Diabetes and refer for provision of symptomatic management.
    • Provide phlebotomy services for baseline bloods (pre-ART patients), VL and other monitoring bloods for patients already on ART in decanted modalities or general follow-up care.
    • Supervise the implementation of Anova’s APACE support activities at facility and facility level, in line with 95-95-95 strategy and workplan.
    • Support Anova and/or DOH counsellors providing case finding and linkage to care services as well as adherence club.
    • Supervise IQC, PT and other RTCQI activities at facility level.
    • Supervise and perform monitoring activities including updating of registers and collection of statistics and validating of data.
    • Track laboratory results and ensure appropriate distribution, capturing and filing thereof.
    • Adhere to individual target requirements as per team lead/supervisor directive, maintain data collection requirements and submit reports as required.

    Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

    • Enrolled Nursing qualification.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in Enrolled Nurse duties.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in HIV or Public health environment.
    • Able to demonstrate ability to manage data collection and reporting.
    • Computer Literate – MS Office Packages (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel & PowerPoint).
    • Excellent Communication skills.
    • Innovative, organized, analytical and excellent interpretation data skills.
    • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention.

    HTS (HIV Testing Services) Officer

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure Priority population are tested at the facilities
    •  Ensure that all clients tested HIV positive are initiated on ART
    • Conduct in-service training and mentor Facilities on performing HIV quality assurance and HIV counselling as per counselling and testing guidelines
    • Work within the team to provide support and coordinate assigned program activities to be implemented from community to facility levels
    • Participate in and implement the analysis of bottlenecks and gaps early, for all HTS activities
    • Implement aligned tools to support the program
    • Conduct the SPI-ART checklist assessment to prepare facilities for external assessment
    • Ensure facilities reach their HTS targets through mentorship
    • Conduct file audit of clients on ART
    • Provide direct supervision to Anova linkage officers
    • Application of quality improvement frameworks in DOH facilities and to strengthen relations with the surrounding communities

     Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Development Studies, Social Science, Public Health,
    • At least 3 - 5 Years of experience working in Health
    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • National certificate on HIV/AIDS (trained in basic HIV counselling and testing)
    • 3 Years’ HTS experience and working with people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA)
    • Supervisory experience an advantage
    • Trained in HTS mentorship
    • Knowledge of DoH HTS guidelines and protocols
    • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills in English including writing reports
    • Ability to speak Northern Sotho (Sepedi)
    • Able and willing to work flexible hours as needed and without constant or close supervision

    Site Coordinator - JHB

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    Project Coordination

    • Lead and support the Peer Educators and larger outreach team in their respective region.
    • Coordinate outreach activities of peer educators
    • Coordinate training of Peer educators
    • Coordinate community HIV testing and counselling activities, and other screening services on outreach 
    • Participate in individual supervision meetings with the peer educator and document individual session.
    • Identifies places where people who inject drugs congregate and send this monthly to the M&E copying the project manager
    • Responsible for updating and adding all the sites to the mapping tool monthly
    • Coordinate the distribution of harm reduction kits, needles and syringes, condoms and lubricants, and other materials during outreach to PWUD and partners.
    • Document and report all the missing project supplies, and assess the reasons given and take appropriate action.
    • Recruit clients to receive Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) and submit the report to the project manager and M&E monthly
    • Provide and ensure that risk assessment is done per client,
    • Continuously the coordinator has to assess the number of harm reduction packs required for each client per week.
    • Ensure there are enough harm reduction packs to the site to cover the time until the next planned outreach date
    • Assess the psychosocial, human rights and risk elements of each client and make referrals to relevant departments. Include this update as part of your monthly narrative 
    • Organise monthly district clean ups with people who inject drugs and other stakeholders in the region. Include this update as part of your monthly narrative
    • Organise small group discussions and coordinate with the Advocacy officer. Include this update as part of your monthly narrative
    • Identify female clients and ensure they receive all relevant services offered by the project.
    • Responsible for driving yourself and your team to the sites of work as and when required, and you should adhere to the Anova vehicle management policy
    • Ensure that all positive clients are linked to care via mobile or local facilities.

    Project Administration

    • Keep records about services provided during outreach and submit these to M&E officer on a regular basis
    • Maintain regular contact with peer educators and follow up with them on performance-related issues
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly schedules for peer educators and tracking attendance
    • Administer the HR policies and ensure compliance of project staff on timesheets, etc
    • Manage project vehicle and ensure daily checklists are done
    • Ensure that the office rentals are paid timely each month
    • Ensure all project supplies distributed are recorded
    • Ensure all your staff members have adequate PPE
    • Ensure all medical waste is managed as per the Waste Management SOP. All needles must be submitted to the Yeovile clinic
    • Submit office inventor to the project administrator each quarter
    • Submit weekly sign in registers to the project administrator.

    Personal development

    • Participate in learning and development opportunities (trainings, workshops, information sessions etc.).
    • Stay abreast of developments in the fields of HIV/AIDS, STIs and TB.
    • Organise and encourage all staff members to attend debriefing and counselling sessions.

    Organisational Responsibilities

    • Attend meetings, briefings, debriefing, staff meetings and other as directed to do so on a regular basis.
    • Represent the organisation with pride and ensure you adhere to the ethos and principles.
    • Represent the organisation on behalf of the programme.

    Perform any other additional duties assigned by the line manager.

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Bachelor of Social Work, Nursing or Psychology or any other Social Science Degree is a requirement.
    • Knowledge of Department of Health policies and strategies on HIV/TB and HCT
    • 3 years’ experience working on HIV and TB programmes
    • Experience in Coordination and implementation of HTS
    • Experience in working with key populations (PWUD)
    • Excellent communication and report writing skills
