    Social Media Coordinator (Cape Town CBD)

    Responsibilities:

    Client Service

    • Establish and maintain relationships with clients.  
    • Manage creative briefs, client feedback and delivery of content.
    • Coordinate with team, update status, manage deliverables and meet expectations.
    • Set up, manage, conduct, and contact report on client presentations.
    • When necessary, manage supplier and/or client billings.

    Content & Channel Planning

    • Work closely with client & wider client service team.
    • Conduct regular research to monitor clients, consumer, competitor, industry, and social landscape/trends activity.
    • Create and manage clear communication plans for activity across platforms.
    • Create and direct clients content calendars and social posting schedule with best practice in mind.

    Content & Channel Administration

    • Assist and manage the production process of content on social jobs.
    • Effective collaboration with creative, paid media and other relevant departments.
    • Scheduling & deactivation of content across channels.
    • Ensure effective searchability / tracking / tagging across content.
    • Manage client’s creative content bible.
    • Be an advanced user in all tech and tools relevant to your role.
    • Ad hoc community management when required.

    Content & Channel Performance Management

    • Work closely with Strategy department to ensure effective integration of efforts.
    • Assist with Channel, Content, Campaign and Health Audits / Reporting
    • Assist with Benchmark, Review, Live Listening and ROI Reporting
    • Daily performance checks & escalations/recommendations
    • Manage Creative Identity of Channel, Content, Templates and Spec sheets. 

    Department Integration:

    • Establish and maintain relationships and/or partnerships with key leverage points that affect social media strategy, management and/or implementation. You’ll need to be able to collaborate and partner in any relevant instances.

    This is including but not limited to:

    • In-House Departments
    • Social Media Platforms
    • Paid Media Agencies and/or Publishers
    • Influencer Management
    • Online Listening & Reputation Management
    • Content Marketing & Production
    • Technology Development (AR, VR or AI)
    • Immerging technology etc.  

    Requirements

    • Relevant degree in advertising, marketing, social media, communication science or equivalent
    • Work experience in Social Media and/or Agency Environment
    • Experience in the fundamentals of classical and digital marketing
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Strong analytical and project management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Public speaking and presentation skills is beneficial.
    • Highly organised, strong attention to detail, deadline driven, ability to problem solve and confident in a fast-paced environment.
    • Deep understanding of the various digital and Social Media marketing channels
    • Experience with retail brands is beneficial.
    • Valid, driver's licence and own transport.

    UX/Technical Writer (Northern Suburbs (Cape)

    Role Description

    UX Writing

    • Take responsibility for all UX writing within Shoprite X. Not limited to Web or mobile products
    • Take ownership of our language standards documentation that is hosted in Figma
    • Be responsible for the language standards across our products ensuring a consistent copy style is adhered to
    • Take leadership of the entire UX writing across all digital channels
    • Have a full understanding of how UX writing contributes to the overall experience within a product
    • Simplifying complex concepts and language
    • Ensure consistent usage of copy across all products within the Shoprite stable
    • Advocating for/educating team members about best practices
    • Enhance the overall User Experience of our products by crafting exceptional copy across digital channels
    • Have a full understanding of how copy can enhance the User Experience of a product
    • Provide input on all digital collateral and interfaces that require a content strategy
    • Attend all UX and UI review sessions with senior stakeholders and provide input into how the copy usage can enhance the experience
    • Write clear and concise content across multiple touch points, including UI elements, along with other elements such as emails, in-product help and product tours
    • Research international trends and stay up to date with what is happening in a global market
    • Be effective in managing your own time juggling multiple projects at a time

    Team Collaboration

    • Support a customer-centric culture, processes, and ways of working.
    • Closely partner with UX Specialist, UI Designers, Product Managers, Product Owners and Developers throughout the product lifecycle
    • Be able to make changes quickly and on the fly to assist the development team in refinement sessions.
    • Be able to seamlessly work with multiple UX and UI design teams inside the business and suppliers
    • Work as part of an Agile Product Team to coordinate application development and delivery.
    • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure our UX copy strategy is maintained through our language usage
    • Maintain ongoing and effective communication with the team to ensure fit-for-purpose design and solutions.

    Requirements

    • Degree or Diploma in Copywriting, User Experience, Journalism, Commerce or similar
    • Relevant years of professional writing experience in a similar capacity or role with proven success (essential).
    • Experience writing content for web-based and/or mobile products (not just websites) - (essential)
    • Experience writing emails, landing pages, or editorial content - (essential)
    • A portfolio of work to showcase UX writing capabilities - (essential).
    • Experience in collaborating with stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle of a product - (essential)
    • Experience in providing strategic input into review sessions with senior stakeholders - (essential)
    • Be able and comfortable to work within an Agile environment - (essential).
    • Experience in building and maintaining language standards documentation - (essential)
    • Versed in UX principles – (desired)
    • Versed in using Figma and Axure - (desired)
    • An understanding of analytics in digital products – (desired).
    • Understanding of the African digital market and customers – (desired).
